Problem with the UTF editor
-
Hey there,
i’ve not used the utf editor for some weeks now and today i found out that there is something terribly wrong with my pc.
Every time i save apply changed it adds something silly to whatever i’ve typed in.
For example: UTF editor saves DcDtEt|| instead of DcDtEt.
It also does this on numbers and it doesnt matter if i edit as internal array or as string.
I’ve always used the original editor now i’Ve downloaded the 1.3 and i still has the same error.
I’ve cleaned out all my user files and registry twice with CCleaner and reinstalled al codepacks frameworks hotfixed etc.I had the idea that i may be caused by Lancer Solorus’s UTF editor cause since i tryed it i never used the original since i found the error, but someone else would have had that problem too.
I’ve tryed my fresh system PC and anything works fine, but its anoying to start it just for some UTF work.
I’m very thankful for all suggestions and ideas.
Ty in advance
MindhunterNote: I’m planing to redo my whole notebook since it rly becomes a waste deposal and needs countless updateds but at moment its not possible for some reasons so i would be good if someone knows a way to fix this till i get the time reinstall everything.

I’ve tryed it like 20 times before i started to clean my pc and reinstall all the windows crap.
No chance the first 2 times after opening the UTF he add a || before he starts adding totaly nonesense like à/ä/µ and some stuff i could only show when i drag’n drop them from word or so. -
If it’s v1.4 then that’s a known bug (it is still a beta after all). it doesn’t happen all the time and doesn’t happen for everyone, I’ve been using it for 9-10 months now and haven’t encountered it.
If it’s an earlier version then I’m stumped as I’ve never had a problem with them.

I sorta suspected a MS Patch, but knew one of you would have verified it by now.
Good to see they have not lost the knack for pulling off the infamous, fix one thing break five others routine. The good news, it’s going to effect a lot more than the UTF Editor so they will soon break several other things fixing this… Muhahahah ;D

Well I’m using .net 2.0 and a modified SP 3.
The funny think is: i have 2 machines with nearly the same windows config, the main difference is, the notebook has XP media centern and the PC prof.
For some reasons my notebook cant save utf’s with any of the UTF editors.
