Trouble with Modular Station Making

Hey guys Im no coder at all but Im really want to learn and understand how to do at least basic things in Freelancer particularly as im making my mod for it, and I just finished making starmapin FLexplorer.
Its not rly finished tho, im gonna do starspheres, new planet textures, ships etc. I really have things to do in my free time
Right now i ve faced a silly problem.
Ive downloaded hardcmp, modular station , and ive read a tutorial, but…. I dont know what to dowith it. I didnt get it at all. I have my station kit in archive, should i unpack it into my fl directory? HOW can i combine modules together in hardcmp? It only shows me one object in a window.
As u can see i didnt get it at all.
So I will really appresiate if someone explains me how to make at least a BASIC station step-by-step, so i can follow it without missing anything as im no coder at all, but i really want to understand how to do this.
The station making tut says that there are only 6 lines or smth, very easy etc etc… somehow the guy didnt explain what are the six lines. it looks like the tut is for a advanced users not for complete newbees.

Firstly, all the different parts, sections/modules need to be added to the solararch.ini. They all need entries in there. You can’t bolt them together in HardCMP, i’d suggest using FLExplorer for this as it has a section where you can bolt anything to anythng regarding bases at least. For explorer to be able to recognise the modular sections, as already mentioned, they need solarch entries.
Once you’ve got that part happening, goto FLexplorer, create a new base then add sections to it to your hearts content

Be aware though that FLE doesn’t work the modular stations with all graphics cards, two of my PC’s didn’t work, one has a built-in Intel Extreme Graphics II and my desktop had a VIA chipset that did not work with it too.
If you spend a little time to get familiar with MilkShape you can do it fairly easily though.
I can’t remember if the modules are in MilkShape’s native .ms3d format, in which case they can be opened and Merged directly.
If they are in .cmp or.3db format you can still Import the ones you want, (Ctrl+Z to undo if you import one you don’t want to use).
Or you can import each of them one by one with the CMP Importer plugin and just File… Save each one as .ms3d. Then by Opening the first module and then using File… Merge to bring in each module you want you can assemble them as you like (it’s not too hard), and then File… Export the stations you want that way using the CMP Exporter.
You need to get the plugins from the downloads here and put them in your MilkShape folder before you start MilkShape.

Now i have two further questions
1. How do I add those entries to solararch.ini. ? Should i hust unzip them to the FL directory or what?
2. I have downloaded the milkshape and I have the key but i dont know where should I enter the serial,=(((( the program still says thet shes unregistered, and so the tools are unavailable for meP.S. Oh, and somehow i get a game crash every time I fly in one of my new systems that i ve made in FL Explorer do you know what can be the cause of it? Cuz it really ruins all the work that i’ve done so far:(

In the original modular station pack, everything you needed was included. In other words, the solararch entries etc were all there. If they are not in the new version then someone has dropped the ball. I’ve just looked at the second incarnation of this and it’s all there so simply copy and paste the entries that you want into your mods solararch entry

So shall I just unpack the archive into my mods SOLAR folder? Is this right?
ive found solararch.ini in my mods SOLAR folder and i also found short ini files in the station pack archive, which makes me think that its all included as u say
p.s. Hmmm…. I copied and pasted the .ini entries into my mod’s solararch.ini file and i didnt get anything. I still didnt understand how to make modular stations in FL explorer.
may be you’ll see some mistakes or smth in this, this is my solararch.ini file, i’ve attached it to this post.
Oh and where should i put the _sources and the ams2 folders?

this is my ini file that i’ve copied and pasted the thing from to my solararch.ini file which is in my mod’s SOLAR folder. Please read it and tell me what is wrong because I dont see the new entries in my FL explorer and i still cant fogure out how to make a modular station and how to add it to the game. Many thanks -
P.S.Does anyone of you guys have a working .md3 gmax exporter?
Cuz I’ve just finished making my own spaceship in Gmax and i need that plugin to transfer my completed ship into ms3d so milkshape can recognize it… Ive searched in the internet but havent found the working plugin so far please help me!

Use the Quake 3 exporter (alredy plugged in the program) and import it to Milkshape. I read it on a tutorial.
Actually, I work with 3Ds Max so I don’t have much understanding in Gmax plugins. All I know is that Gmax is based on 3Ds Max.
