ye i done the reg thing it didnt work till i went into the network
propertys and unticked it i done the same with all the network cards never had a problem since
its not ment to remove it just ment to disable it
but till you untick it you will still have that prob -
In WindowsXP you can uninstall it.
In Windows Vista and 7, I think you can’t as it’s part of the OS now…? I remember just unticking it and having no more problems in that regard. -
You can also unmark it under properties from your LAN.

its an on and off thing sometimes it pops up then it disapers . the fix does not work . still shows up and i have it unchecked in the properties . how do i not make it show up in lan ? wicked witch. i think it has something to do with my network apdapter its nvidia built into the motherboard. ok this is just a test thing if im going to a server again i am going to use xp thats all.

i fixed the problem in the nvidia control panel . i found a bunch of ipv6 stuff that was enabled and so i disabled them. you see sometimes its not enough that you just check off the ipv6 in internet protocals you have snoop around like a blood hound lol.
