[Suggestion]Fixing dplay stuff in wine for FL

Since the server seems to be starting fine (no way to test) and direct play works in other games, I suggest we (as in the ones who know all the hooking stuff) try to figure out what stops the server / the client from communicating with each other. Since we now the game like no one else this should be easier for us as for regular developers. This at least would open the possibility to run the server on Linux one day (or maybe even sooner) as wine gets better every day.
My initial tests with wine 1.3.31 show that hook with all the plugins seems to load fine and .serverinfo etc. works. You just can’t see the server on the network and FL itself can’t find any.

Please do. Most people haven’t reported it working except for two: Fabian Thoma and some anonymous guy. Perhaps we should try FL with their wine versions.

Perhaps you could take advantage of that to fix or deactivate IPv6 support in FL
That’d be a win for both Linux and Windows.
