As for the problem I was having I figured out how to fix it.
I got the same error as the guy above “different version of freelancer”. It wasn’t because of the exe version, but rather because of an incompatibility of windows 7 and flhack.
Simply run the exe in compatibility mode for windows xp sp3 and it will work fine. This has been quite the hunt, but in the end it paid off in the end.
It seems that this version is older and doesn’t work with mods. Whenever I try to run a mod with this it says “Different Version of Freelancer”
It seems that this version is only compatible with version 1.1
I’ve been waiting for the website to come back up, but it doesn’t seem like it intends to anytime soon.
So I took to searching all over google for this file, let’s just say nobody uploaded it anywhere, and even using various search perimeters I had no dice. Eventually I found a torrent that had it bundled with other files, but it was dead on seeds.
I was running out of hope.
I tried a random search only vaguely relating to FLHack, and what do you know I actually pulled up the file directly from the creator himself!

It was posted by the original author, so there shouldn’t be a problem in linking it right?
I also took the liberty of uploading it, I hope you all enjoy it, it’s made revisiting singleplayer quite nice for me.

A few false positives by bad AVs, take it for what its worth considering the way it functions.
I hope nobody else has to search for hours like I did to find this.
