Some people may recognise me from the Discovery, Crossfire and other servers, I used to play on lots of them over the years.

Most likely you’ll see me back on the crossfire at some stage.

Hi all, I played and completed Freelancer wayback in 2003 and absolutely loved it.

Over the years I’ve fired it up again every now and then, but never really completed it again, but I did try out loads of mods and custom servers and had a blast.

I decided to play the SP campaign again right through to the end and surprisingly , had a lot of fun with it.
I’m still playing the SP game post endgame to see if I can get an eagle or Titan (haven’t decided yet) .

I did have to mod it a bit for widescreen and some nicer textures
and once that was done it looked surprisingly good for it’s age.

It’s amazing there’s still an active community for this venerable game.

Anyway, hi all, you might see me around on some servers playing once I finish up with the post SP campaign gaming.

I did enjoy the X3 series, but it’s single player only and is VERY time consuming.
With FL you can just play and have a great time even if you only have 30 mins or so to play.

There was a game called “Jumpgate Evolution” it was a MMO but apparently made in the spirit of FL.
Sadly however Development has stopped with that. It looked really good.

Having played through FL once. Played with teh intention of just sandbox play after that.
Then ran several Servers over the years and messed with lots of mods. I thought I’d got bored with FL and would never return.

But recently, missing my Space combat trading fix and finding the alternatives just too boring I reinstalled FL.

I’ve mostly been playing Discovery Freelancer, a big mod and has servers available to play on.
I have played on the discovery servers before. It is a great mod.

After a while I just stopped play FL and thought I’d never return.

But this game just keeps drawing me back, having a ball with FL again!

Will FL ever die?
Will there ever be a FL2?
