ok ill have a gander. ive given it a go while ive had windows firewall turned off and it still wont go in so im assuming its nothing to do with that…

although i just uninstalled avg so no anti virus at minute but still dont work, havent rebooted yet tho so may still be files on pc

and its still just as good with protecting the pc?

is there no easier way to open multiple ports than adding them individually thru windows firewall?

ok im sorry guys i must be becoming a real pain in the backside now but i appreciate the help.

ive managed to get the server list showing again, but still getting the same problem saying i cant connect. ive uninstalled norton and now have avg on. ive unblocked the 2300 port on windows firewall so not sure whats going wrong now?

ok ive done a clean wipe of fl and flmm and installed it all over again yet im still not getting anything?

is there not a program out there i can use to edit freelancer.ini ?

thats solved the deactivating problem.

so if i was to activatee the mod then open freelancer.ini would i be able to see the change in the line that the mod does or would it be the same as normal?

ah yeah i did have a gander on there ‘discovery’ looked quite good. hard to tell which mods are the ones that have had lots of time and effort put in and i suppose the less professional ones, not to sound horrible

ill try the whole clean install again.
i did check to see if it was read only, and it wasnt. just wont let me save it

ok i bit the bullet after deciding whether or not to get rid of norton.

now that ive done it im having other problems lol. it seems now i cant get the servers to show up in the list again.

ive uninstalled everything fl related. installed fl, updated, installed quick fix, and activated fllistserver mod and yet still nothing. constantly getting a box saying access denied to freelancer.ini. ive even tried going into the file myself and changing the hostname but it wont let me save it as an .ini file.

edit: dunno if it matters, but it wont let me deactivate the fllistserver mod thru flmm, saying that there is no backup file. never had this problem when i did it the first time round?

any ideas guys?

im using norton av atm. so ive got to uninstall it? kinda confused lol

ive allowed access to fl thru the internet security option in the firewall but still no joy

oh great and to top it all off while trying to figure this stuff out its deleted all my save games!

every time i try and open flmm it says ‘access to freelancer.ini is denied’

Back again lol.

Its now showing all the servers but it wont let me connect to any of them… any ideas?

Thanks guys. Yeah it may be a good idea having a quick link somewhere. I didnt know anything about them shutting down the global server. Havent played in atleast a year or 2 mind

Having a bit of a problem with connecting to the global server when i go into multiplayer. I have updated with version 1.1 (yet it says ver 1.0 ingame, not sure if this is normal) and also installed the quickfix, yet it just stays blank and says ‘Connecting to global server…’ in the top right. I have Vista Home Premium installed.
