Well rather than uninstall the AV, I tried something I should have done first. Uninstall and reinstall the game and patch. Everything works again.

Well bypassing the router and connecting directly to the net did not solve anything either, and I am not willing to uninstalled the AV everytime I want to play. Thanks for your help though

SP2: Sorry should have mentioned the system is fully updated.
Also turning off both the AV and Firewall solved nothing still unable to see the servers or Direct Connect.
I will try bypassing the Linksys Router and see if something got FUBARed in the router. I have not updated that and did not change any of the settings, but still something could have caused a fault/change.

Firewall: Been using Freelancer on this system for about a year and the Firewall was set to allow Freelancer to connect to MP servers. Will Try shutting it off and see what happens though.
AntiVirus: Nod32, never had a problem in the past, but maybe a recent update has caused a problem will try turning it off and see if I can connect.
Router: Linksys 300N, This system is direct connect to the router and Freelancer ports have been allowed/forwarded. Again Freelancer has been playing nice with the system up untill a few days ago. -
I am using Vista 64 and have been using it to play Freelancer for a while now. I made the correction to allow me to see and connect to the global server list and that was going fine till a few days ago. Since then I have had to direct connect to my favorite servers but then yesterday even the DC won’t work anymore.
Anyone have any idea of what is happening?
