It’s particularly vexing because I can’t seem to quite run down the source of this issue when a very similar installation on a different computer didn’t have this problem. See the screenshot to get an idea of what I mean, with an in-game resolution of 1280x960 (which closely matches the native resolution of 1280x1024 on the Samsung 931BF I’m using).
Further tech notes: DX9 full redist from MS + DirectX 11, OS is Vista 32-bit SP2, system is a Phenom II X4 945 + K9A2 Platinum and the Geforce driver version is 340.52.

{UPDATE: I checked on my other system and one thing I noticed is that the font still kinda looks jaggy, but it’s “bolded” and has a shadow effect under it like some of the other FL fonts do. I wonder what little quirk that involves.)

Basically it’s like the font antialiasing got screwed up in the first image (Phenom II) and not as badly in the second image (different system).
