I’ve actually bumped the LOD up to 30K. I just wanted to get an actual testing value so it’d work. The LOD for the massive Alliance cruiser is at 100K. 
And yeah, I didn’t build the model. I suck at modelling. I didn’t want the cockpit to be transparent because I’m going to be shrinking this model.
Hey guys, some of you may have heard about that good old FireFly mod that’s just been sitting around for a few years. Well, I’m happy to say that it’s nearing release, but there are a few things I need help with.
Modelling. This includes textures and hitboxes. To be honest, we have very few high quality models to play around with, and only slightly more original models. I’m looking for people who love to make models and love to mess around with massive amounts of detail.
Texturing. I’m using Aldebaran’s Modular Station 2 resource to build stations, and I’d like someone to be able to crank out some darker and higher detail textures to use. This will really add to the atmosphere of the mod, methinks.
Hitboxing. Someone’s gotta hitbox the ships that get modelled. I’ve currently got an Alliance Titan Cruiser model (those big city ships in the TV series) that has the hitbox of a Liberty Battleship. Needs fixing!
Coding. My ability to code NPCs and capital ships is shocking. Help please?
Infocards. I can do infocards, but I have neither the time nor the patience. I’m also looking for creative writers to help out with rumours, news, and descriptions for planets/bases/ships.

I didn’t set the linking up correctly in shiparch.ini for the .mat file. Can’t believe I didn’t pick up on it.

Hey yo, I posted this on Freeworlds then determined that Starport was probably a better place for it.
I’m working on the FireFly mod still, right, and I just got this decent ASREV model I want to put in. So I code it all up correctly and set the LOD ranges for 0, 2000, 2000, 2000 so it actually shows, but when I jump into the game, there’s no ship model.
I know it’s not a case of incorrect ship linking because the hardpoints are appearing correctly. Just not the model. Here’s some comparison shots. Please note that these shots are from the same angle.

I’m fairly sure that the textures aren’t inside-out either, since they show up fine in HardCMP. Also, GodZero (the modeller) managed to get it working in-game, but the screenshot for that disappeared back in 2007.
Any help on this would be ultra-ly appreciated.
