Hey everyone, sorry for the delay in episodes and my silence over the past week. I’ve been really busy with Minecraft and Portal 2 videos. This does NOT mean i’ve ditched Freelancer in anyway, I will be contuning very soon. And i will try to MOVE and not be a sitting duck any longer.
If anyone has missed the past two episodes i forgot to post here the are EPISODE 14 and EPISODE 15.
I didn’t go and pick up the ship called ‘Defender’ in this play session, and i’m now quite far away and Liberty hate me (You’ll see in a future episode) so I could do with some advice about where to pick one up?
Also, EPISODE 13 went up last night.

Woah, thanks for all that info guys, really useful. Yeah i’ve got 3 more episodes already recorded and ready to be uploaded (well 2 now… Episode 7 on Saturday and Episode 8 on Sunday). I’ll be recording more either tomorrow or Sunday so come monday i’ll be talking about and hopefully utilizing all the stuff you guys have taught me.
I usually start games by using the UI because i don’t know the hotkeys yet but i’ll try to learn the keys for Freelancer quickly.
I’m sorry if my noobish ways with the game infuriate people, but i’m still trying to learn and i’m sure after a few more play sessions i’ll be much better at it. Just need to get out of my old ways.

EDIT: Sorry about some of the audio sync problems, it isn’t like that on my video file on my computer - I blame youtube on this one. It seems to get better after 8 minutes or so…

Before i go, what ship do you guys think is best to buy after the basic ship you start with?
Yeah I quickly realised about the press B to tractor loot, so that starts been used more in an episode or so, but I never knew about H to enter turret view mode, thanks!
I tell you what I don’t like - the cockpit view…. CTRL+V I think it is that switches to it. Maybe it was the ship I tried it in, but it was very disorientating. But V is useful to see if I’m been tailed by any enemies.

Thanks for the comments guys. I recorded up to the 9th episode on this play through so I get alot better towards the end but all of these tips will help me SO MUCH when I sit down for another recording session this weekend. I can’t believe I haven’t been hitting space to lock myself into mouse flight haha!
I kind of forget to commentate at points aswell and get lost in the combat, I’m still trying to learn how to pull off some good kill engine manurers in the last part I recorded. Oh and yeah I know Let’s Plays take up ALOT of time and episodes…etc but I can post quite lengthy videos on my youtube account so I don’t have to listen to the stupid 15minute rule so I don’t have to cut or edit in the middle of combat or a cutscene I can choose exactly where i want an episode to end.

Hey everyone, I’ve tried to play Freelancer a few times over the last eight years but I have finally decided that I will finish this game and my motivation to get through it is that I’ll be recording myself.
The main reason I’ve stopped playing before is that I SUCK! So if you guys could watch comment and help me along that’d be great because you guys have way more experience with the game than me.
I’m playing this with some widescreen modifications and that’s about it so it’s pretty much the un-modified version of the game that was originally released.
So my first episode of the playthrough is up on youtube now, i probably do 100 things that make you guys angry but…should be fun! Episode 1 here.
