Hi,
I started playing freelancer for what seems like forever ago. I decided to poke around and see what had happened to it. I am glad to see even though Microsoft has terminated their main server support, that the game is still going strong. Disappointed that the sequel was canceled and openlancer is collecting dust, I turned to check out the old community mods and such. I am pleased to see that the community is still somewhat lively. I am really hoping to get back into playing in some new systems and flying new ships.
If anyone is able to point me in the direction of the mod dl and a great server with extended content I would greatly appreciate it. Once I get my job for the summer I can also help support the server as I am aware of the server costs. I am also a little puzzled why people are DOS attacking private game servers.

As for a little bit about myself. I am an undergrad student getting an my associates degree in computer networking very soon and then I am going to start working toward a BS degree in Business Information Systems. I am a music junkie and I can do the Melbourne shuffle (youtube it).
