I also have problems using FLHook 1.6.7.

The fact is that the compilation works perfectly under MSVC++ Express 2007 | 2010 (Only got security warnings).

But the problem comes when I try to run FLHook, I think I’ve done everything good, but it doesn’t launch. Only FLServer runs…
The weirds thing, is that when I launch FLServer, and then FLHookStart, it tolds me that flserver.exe is not running

So, is there a trick to solve that ?
(I didn’t succeed to compile FLHook under Code::Blocks, there were too many errors)

Well, I tried to do as you said, but the spawning ship really doesn’t want to move. I think I haven’t the skill yet to understand it well, and don’t want to annoy you more than that. I don’t know what fThrust & fRange stand for, even playing with values.
(The weird thing, is that in the code quoted by Wodk4, it’s not a pointer which is used in the submit state line).

Here’s my current code, according that iSpaceObjID represent a ship we’ve just created. The waypoint is approximatively 500 m away from the spawn point.

pub::AI::DirectiveGotoOp* testOP = new pub::AI::DirectiveGotoOp();
 testOP->iGotoType = 1;
 testOP->vPos.x = -14507;

I’m very interested in this topic, and I follow it since its beginning. Thanks to your great work, I slowly understand how to make NPC’s spawning.

As Wodk4 said, It would be nice to give Waypoints to NPC. Unfortunately, I didn’t reach this objective.

Here the first thing I tried to do :

but this does’nt work. (This would be too simple, you can laugh at me)

so I tried to use the Personality.cpp given by Adoxa, but unfortunately, I don’t know how to use it. I tried to place it into server.h, in the AI namespace, but I have some errors.

Can you help me to find what’s wrong ?
(No code required, but at least a little clue)

This is due to the fact that, for a weird reason, the getbasestatus function only work for a planet and NOT for stations. I don’t understand anything.

We added a base on our server few days ago,
and it seems the getbasestatus command doesn’t work.

It says our base doesn’t have any hp, neither maxhp, whereas we give it some.

When I look in FLHook, it seems that the problem came from theses lines :

Universe::IBase *base = Universe::get_base(iBaseID); 
	pub::SpaceObj::GetHealth(base->lSpaceObjID, fHealth, fMaxHealth);

I don’t know why it doesn’t work. Maybe because we deactivate the base destruction in the fuse, but i’m not sure at all.

Anyone has an idea ? it would be so helpful !

This is very very odd, but this function wasn’t working all the time
(maybe my code is wrong), so I used iDamageToSpaceID to do what I need.

The BaseDestroyed() function use a iObject var which correspond to the SpaceID of the Base.

I would like to get the iBaseID of a base from the iObject var, but I don’t know how to do this ?

(I didn’t find the correct function to do this)

I’m currently adding some missions to our server, and my wish is to add missions against NPC with a rank higher than 19 (or make missions against battleships, gunboats…)

For now, I tried to modifiy npcRankToDiff.ini & Diff2Money.ini, like in this thread LINK but it leads me to nothing (Missions doesn’t appear…).

So if you have any link to a good Tuto, or any idea of where’s my problem, please help.

I’m one of the modder of the french team that Xarian_Primes talk about.

I really don’t want to be selfish, but when Cornelius gives us Plasma Fire, he doesn’t mention if we could redistribute it, we are just allowed to use it.

Furthermore, the file we got was the whole mod, not only the graphics, so I had to change some things to run it properly.

For now, all I can say is that PF graphics are an optionnal part of our mod, rights still belongs to PF team, we just use the graphics. Try to send them an e-mail, but I can’t help you more than this.

I would like, when a ship is destroyed, to remove nanos, batteries & ammo from it.

Currently, I’m using the Player Control plugin to drop everything unmounted on the ship, and only merchandises are removed from it.

Here’s the code :

Cannon, we really don’t want to be boring, but there’s still something we need to know :

The compilation has been passed with success using Microsoft Visual C++ Express (in it’s latest version). InGame, the plugin seems to be working quite well (commands like /stuck, /dice, or /pos are working perfectly). But for unknown reasons, human players don’t loot nothing…

When we just replace our half-working DLL with the one in the ZIP archive, all is working.

So here are my guesses :

• We are using VC++ with bad compilation options (or bad version ?)
• We need to add something in the linker or somewhere else (like FlakCommon.lib ? even if we already tried), or some headers or .cpp files
• There might be a problem with the .cpp files given in the archive.

Could you help us ?

I use FL Explorer to create random missions in a system I have created. So, I create a population zone, with encounters, and a mission target into this pop. zone.

If factions like Outcasts are in the population zone, I can do missions without any problems. (I’ve made a “Liberty faction” planet)

The fact is, if I replace Outcasts by Nomads, I can’t do missions anymore, The panel tell “No missions available for now. Come back later.”

So, did I forgot to make something ?

I already use PlayOnLinux on my Ubuntu 8.04 (Hardy Heron if I remember). Works fine after resolving a sound problem (May occurs on some sound cars, but not all)
