I suppose you downloaded the “bin” file from here? -> click
just rename it from “jflp.exe.bin” to “jflp.exe”
There is a link for the standalone DLL file at Adoxa’s site, too.

/big huge Edit ^^:
There you go -> click
look at the latest commits, which i must admit may be a little bit derpy
& maybe check if your perfoptions.ini magicly got “read-only”.
I once ran into this case and after changing it back to writable i could use all the funky resolutions i made up again
i tried with hhc mod , i changed the color and re-compress the mod also i replace Freelancer.exe in Exe folder and in mods folder but i got the same result !

I blindly assume that you know of this color changing feature by the FL-HC mod.
(cuz u mentioned ‘LSD’ )
If that’s so, go inside your EXE folder and take a look at the hc_client_tutorial.txt.
If you didnt change the value a the proper config file, the clientside DLL will load up the vanilla value and overwrite your new “hardcoded” on the fly
sweet changelog
thank you very much
now i feel the urge to build smth again
thx for the very nice updates
I think u r looking for the targeting cross and not for the crosshair.
(the one which indicates where to hold your actual ‘crosshair’ while firing ur blasters)
take a look at this -> Thread and that -> post
Its a helpful tinyhexer script created by Adoxa, but it will edit your Freelancer.exe file. Keep in mind that it is a risk to get detected by paranoid FL Anticheat Tools and that u maybe get kicked or even banned for a modified file.

AFAIK the devs are not planning to release some of their features to interested people, but if you got the knowledge to create a plugin that can change the colors based on ini settings and adoxa’s hex values, well then feel free to do so^^
greetz,
It doesnt have to be a key @ numpad, u can change it to whatever u want via the ingame gui or the ini
Hm another try could be to ask one of the Freeworlds ToW coding gurus, since their client mod has the option to show some debug information, but i dont know if its bound to their enhanced directx stuff.
Hm dunno why u don’t want to use 3rd party application,
but if you are using some kind of bloom effect (enb dlls)
you can go to the enbseries.ini and add
KeyShowFPS=106
to the [INPUT] Section.
(Displays frame rate. In some versions this value set to 0 which means it’s disabled, but in most it’s NUM * key.)
The latest versions of enb include a nice ingame overlay gui which u can acces via:
SHIFT+ENTER
(of course you will need the good old dx8todx9 converter with FL (can be found at enbdev.com aswell))
then simply use one of the newest d3d9 binaries and have fun with the gui or the INI file
It’s maybe not the best solution, but it works without a 3rd party program (well the enb binaries are kinda 3rd party here, but there a more likely a nice plugin :D)
Afaik team [RIP]'s ‘TCM Starter Pack’ include some fixed utf files with the missing sounds (in english).
click
For more information just read through the TCM pack and maybe visit their forums.
None of these errors are really game changing annoying errors.
You can ignore them
But I understand that you are as picky as myself^^
Exactly.
& due to the fact that there is no ‘language selection screen or option’ inside the game, FL just read out the given DLL files as they are present. You can mix the languages DLLs up aswell, but you should prefer to use only one language, or make 2 versions of ur custom DLL and let the users use FLMM to decide
greetz,
MoD
Hm assuming that your changes to the vanilla resource.dll are rather small, you could use Adoxa’s FRC tools.
First dump the DLL, then apply ur changes & recompile the DLL … et voilá
For me there were no problems with the german resource DLL and my changes are applied properly.
(even with characters like ‘ü’, ‘ä’ and ‘ö’ )
Check the links at the end of this -> http://the-starport.net/freelancer/forum/viewtopic.php?topic_id=343
greetz :),
MoD
Take a look at keylist.ini & keymap.ini
afaik both toggles must be added there to get shown at the ingame options.
When u r ingame u simply need to assign keys, press them and then press ur anti- and clockwise rotation keys.
will take a deeper look at it when im home
Hiho
Definitely looking forward to it

Wow cool.
Thank you very much
