I want this to work.

I haven’t followed those LR intrigues, but here are some problems I hope The Starport addresses:

1. LR was the de facto Freelancer browser’s nexus, and will no longer serve the purpose. We need one single unconditional hub site linking to everything. Ready links is what the web is all about. Now, LR Admin openly resenting that LR just advertises other sites & mods etc. (links) invites another site fill that role. “It’s about you” is just what we need. So, how can The Starport best assemble and present all sorts of links to the FL community? That’s mainly a web design problem answered sooner than later.

2. LR hosted downloads, all of them. We could really use a secure place to keep this stuff. Is The Starport up to it?

3)Freelancer never had a real general community forum. This would be invaluable. I think some concrete steps to promoting this include a big honking forums button on the main page, links to forums (e.g. tutorials and other content in forums), publicly searchable forums, and some off-topic indulgence.

4. Lancer’s Reactor this, Lancer’s Reactor that. Reactionism is a problem. I hope The Starport sets its course objectively, by taking stock of what we’ve got now and what we need, no looking back.
