So as a bit of an update, I have Windows XP running in a Virtualbox. After installing the update and the VirtualBox drivers, it starts and gets to the menu, but the mouse is extremely jerky. What can I do about this? Has anyone else had any remotely similar issues?

Here is what I mean.

I’m running a headless (no display, all administration is done via ssh) Linux server, and I’d like to run a Freelancer server. Has anyone gotten that to work? Or would I have to do something funky like configuring a Windows VM to run flserver.exe at startup and have VirtualBox (or another vm) run that without a display?
