I even played the complete SP campaign last weekend. OK it wasn’t full width but it was doable with the 1.1 patch and no-CD exe. Had to tweak something with some sound codecs, but that was all.
Some one had to get rid of those nomads again, they keep coming back every time. So after i added some goodies like a decent ship, shield and weapons to a base i was ready to kill all those lvl 4 NPC ships.
Its not that difficult.
Add an SPF record to the domain.
It basicly is a txt record.
With that record Hotmail/Gmail can verify the sending mail server for the domain the-starport.net

Even if I wanted to, i think i ditched the CD with my last home move. And if i search realy hard i think i should be able to find a CD on some harddrive somewhere.

Well, i don’t play FL anymore as well. Still I believe this community can bring something. So I recently became a bit more active to focus my spare free time on creating a new site.

Looks like FL on steroids. They just need to make a MP version of it, somehow…
The most important part! … In FL you could shoot on an anstroid all day long without making a dent in it. In this game you actualy split/destroy the astroid!
Well, this is still a community. Even though the community is a little quiet right now its still there. And I know from my own experience that im still looking for a decent replacement for FL.
Star Citizen will be awesome and great when it is finished somewhere in 2028 and still only 5% of the computers will be able to run the graphics.
So go go reg on the forum and say that the awesome great and most kewl community would love to have a MP edition like FL had.

I am looking for a new fun project between my 60+ working weeks.
Would be fun to transform this site in to a more up to date system with more expansion features.
But its still amazing this site even exists. Old game, old site software and forums. And (DO NOT HIT ME) old members

Yeh well, we spend waaaay to much time into finding the right CMS with build-in forums.
Might have been better to look a lil further than a php based system and go for liferay or someting. Downside is that it is based on java, but it does support php scripting with ajax components.
But if it makes you feel better; sure I take the blame for this site and its code base without any decent logic

This is the so-called Doppler effect, and it also occurs in the sirene of an ambulance or police car or firetruck, that passes you. When the car is getting nearer to you, the sirene is higher and faster, and when it is moving away from you, the sound wave is stretched, making the sirene sound slower and lower.

Bit of a late response
But well, tried to do the worgen start area and i hated it the minute i had to fight my friends the forsaken/undead.
Im Horde all the way, with all 4 chars (at 85) now.
The raiding is ok. But i miss the excitement and the community as it was before.
I am a healer on 3 characters, and i basicly have a say in dungeons, and believe me; i hate skipping stuff in them as well.
Right now im back to semi active raiding, 3 times a week for 3 hours per evening. I do this with good friends, and that makes it nice.

For the ones who don’t know me. I was a lil bit active on TSP when it became a popular modding community.
IPV4 will vanish once it becomes to expensive and when IPV6 will have some cash making bennefits.
No ISP is willing to invest a great amount of cash for basicly doing the same thing, especialy if IPV4 is still cheap and way to easy to maintain.
ISP’s will have to do a lot, like replacing routers with customers, in their own internal network. And also make sure their customers know what they are up against.
And right now only a handfull of ISP’s have updated their networks or are in the process of updating them.
