If you need webspace for site/mod, this might be something for you…

http://www.filefront.com/developers_hosting.php
Sounds interesting, eh?

Direct FTP hosting is not right for everyone, if you are a modder, developer, artist etc with a few files related to a specific game then FTP is NOT right for you. Files uploaded via FTP will NOT be indexed with the associated game on FileFront and will only get exposure from your external links. You should upload the files via the Upload button at the top of the page and then submit the files to our general archive. This method offers the most exposure for your files!
Yes, but as the above quote shows, it’s not recommended for modding…

Looks good… but I personally will never use Filefront ever again after this years earlier fiasco’s… my trust in them was well broken… as was with alot of others that had important files on there servers…
Looks good though… seems they may be aware of the loss of many users… and devs… this looks more like some sort of peace offering to bring us back (lol) 8-)

Filefront can f*** off as far as i’m concerned. I’ve had nothing but crappy service and useless emails while trying to sort out stuff with them ever since the new takeover. I cancelled my account with them and they had the nerve to ask why lol
I use Slingfile to host my files, had no problems with them, even get paid for downloads lol

I use IxWebHosting, unlimited everything and pretty reasonable monthly rates. Pretty much when it comes to hosting you get what you pay for…

I just found 4share last night… seems reasonable as long as the owner of the files logs in at least 1nce every 30 days…
Slingfile is pretty good… but no way resume broken uploads… not the best for “me” as im on wireless
FileFactory has a awesome uploader… but a 150mb per hour cap on downloads…
They all have pro-cons… and as LS said you get what you pay for… finding a free & reliable host has proven a challenge… but the above 3 have proved quite good value for nothing
why do i pay nothing do you ask… well… grab yourself some “pre-paid” wireless internet & you’ll understand… pmsl… 8-)

Dropbox is an excellent tool for building your mod or storing data the free one offers 2Gb of storage.
The most useful aspect is the data can be synchronised between several users so any changes are downloaded to your PC at start up.All the best CK256
