New to FLHook
-
Forgive me for what may be noobish questions.
First, a bit of background. I am an IT manager, I have a degree in computer animation, I have done some basic programing when I was in school years ago. Now I do mostly basic scripting, but my work is more along the lines of troubleshooting and keeping things running smoothly. Typically I can feel my way though most programing.
Here is my issue. Most of the time I can read through documentation and tutorials and then take the info and use it to my will. My problem with FLHook has been finding any documentation to read through. The info in the ini and readme do a fair amount of assuming a degree of familiarity I don’t have.
For instance, I have been experimenting with the cloak FLHook plugin last night. But, I am having to guess at where the files go and infer that code be added here or there. Is there documentation somewhere on adding plugins to FLHook.

Welcome, and In FLHook Plugin version, you can found some sample projects in src, you can make your own plugin just imitate those plugin if you got the permission.
Wodka4 did lot of work to make the FLHook very easy to plug… see readme.txt to get more detail.

it should be in the flhook readme:
================================================================================
== PLUGIN INSTALLATION =========================================================in a typical case plugins are distributed in an archive with a folder structure
that you just need to copy to the “Freelancer/EXE/” folder.
every plugin needs a configuration file within the “./EXE/flhook_plugins/” main folder,
the plugin DLL needs to be in “.EXE/flhook_plugins/dlls/”.
please read any readme file that may be delivered with the plugin you want to

Maybe you didnt download the FLHook plugin version, but rather another version of FLHook (maybe Motahs version, or the old 1.5.5 version).
Here is the download:
