[n00b alert] Have The Order fly NPC Anubises?

I’m a bit ashamed, but I must confess I’m having trouble to have The Order fly around in NPC Anubises.
I’m positive I’ve done this before, but I can’t find it anymore in my old backups. It shouldn’t be too hard.
When I give The Order the NPC ships of the Liberty Navy, they show up, as expected. But when I give them the Anubises, they don’t.
I don’t think there is an error in the code. Might the Anubis be disabled by default or so? I remember the Osiris bases are, and you could work around by creating a new one, so I’ve also cloned the Anubis’s ShipArch entries and renamed or_elite to order_elite. Unsuccesfully: they still don’t fly it.
Maybe I just forgot a few steps… Haven’t done it for some years.
There are no errors in FLspew (except a bunch of envmap errors, which I think are native coz I don’t use custom textures - but this is not related to the Anubis problem).

Try it with a new loadout for the anubis… might also help

Thanks!! Sounds like a very useful advice.
Man, at one point I even had Osirises flying around. (I backed up a lot of them, but I often kept working on most mods, making them very buggy, sometimes beyond the point of having them CTD, and so my old files are of little use)
EDIT: Didn’t solve it. Nonetheless, it’s still a good advice.
I will now delete all my entries, forcing myself to start anew. And do it more careful.
And after that, if it still won’t work, trash my computer, burn down the house and go living in a cave in Afghanistan.

Besides, The Order does show up when I assign them Liberty Navy NPC ships, so the secret must be somewhere in the Anubis… And indeed I do have some vague recollection that you somehow had to use a clone rather than the or_elite as it is… Yet copying it under the nickname order_elite didn’t work…
As it said, I’ll start anew (but prolly not today, my girfriend planned a social afternoon & evening with friends :roll: )

One final thought (for now): Back then I didn’t know how to hack common.dll to make The Order appear on the repscreen (Anton found that one out later), but I had a workaround: a new faction co_or_grp that used The Order’s ids_name and ids_info tags. That worked.
And maybe those were the ones flying the anubises…
On the other hand, I have the real Order flying the li_n defenders…

Also had them fly the Tie fighters at one point (there was a Tie pack around at the time; I think it was later implemented into the Freeworlds TC)
EDIT: no, the Sphinx was the armored transport, the Sobekh a Liberty Cruiser .

yes a good friend of mine named Mace let me use one of his mods as the back drop for mine and i just improvised i found stuff that worked together gave the people credit as part of the mod team. so just use what you can read it and learn from it. but if you just want the order to fly around you dont need a seperate faction just only if you want them to give out missions. plus my common dll is fixed so the order and nomads show up on the rep list. i had to use a dll hack tool to read it and i forgot what i did.

That was a cool one.
The “unseen” factions are stored, IIRC, in common.dll. Use a hex editor and search for the string “fc_” or “_grp”. The dll I have in my test mod has also been fixed for the Order, but the other ones are still there.
