Feature adding equipment

How to make equipment items which add features like armor upgrade - adds HP to the ship, speed upgrade, and maby cargo upgrade if its possible. (if cargo upgrades weren’t used yet, please don’t steal the idea before my mod comes out).
Is there a tutorial, or its as simple as I think: just adding a line in the st_equip.ini?
Please tell me.

Yes, it is that simple.

(st_good and market_misc, as well).

FlyByU made a similar Power Plant mod that you could use as an example: Freelancer Power Plants mod

I think that he also made similar mods for armor and shields but I cannot find them (sigh).

For speed, look at the Speed Mod that comes with FLMM. Or use MultiCruise.

By speed I didn’t mean doubling the cruise speed, but adding an item which adds speed without cruise, like there is in 88Flak mod.

hook/hack related. such feature should be impossible by simple ini editing.

This is a thing I learned from experience. But the fact is that its possible and I’m going to find it out somewhen.

check the 88flak flhook and plugins from the mod. fortunately the mod is nearly entirely free for use and open source as long as you keep credits.

theyre all here. fox develops the mod, why485 makes graphics, m0tah, w0dk4 and adoxa have done most of the hacking and hooking stuff and plugins. sorry if there are some i didn’t mention, gentlemen
