Yay my old username still works!

Ha! Now I remembered my old username and password so I can now login under my original name!
I’m back after several years on hiatus, real life issues (job, family, women etc etc). Still I haven’t found a game that beats FLs gameplay or community (as dwindling as it is now).
Something keeps bringing me back to this ancient game it calls me to play / mod again, so thats what I will do although a lot of the stuff I have forgotten but I am sure I will pick it up again and it will all come flooding back.
I miss the days of the void server when I would be involved in 4 vs 30 dogfights, those were the days!
My current plans are once I’ve gotten back into modding and re-written my XML ini codebase I will start modding vanilla freelancer to update it - no actual additions other than changing what is already present.
I then plan to re-release the game packaged in an installer using the bitorrent networks as Freelancer v2.0. I know you will have concerns about that (it’s still just a mod not a new game yada yada) but I still believe as I did back then that this game could live on if given the massive amount of attention it needs.
Once I’m done incorporating all that I have planned I will use it as a base to perform actual mods from the updated vanilla install.
I will need some help getting back up to speed (not with the actual mod - I’m doing that on my own until I have at least something basic to show for it) as I have been gone for so long.
Any volunteers from those who remember me? Ha

Yup, I’m due some money in the next few months so I’ll be building a new PC thats going to be capable of crunching some serious numbers so I’ll be all set for the work to come.
Since you didn’t answer in the DX8 to DX9 topic I’ll ask here, you don’t happen to have any of my code from a few years back, specifically the Daedalus ship mod I did?
