HTTPS Support?

Not happening. Don’t reuse passwords and you’ll be fine.
-
always wondered about this myself, besides letsencrypt, cloudflare offers a free ssl setup (this site uses cloudflare anyways).
Lack of https support is one of the reasons i refuse to let TSP run javascript. -
It’s an old site that’s basically on life support. If w0d finds a way to jury rig it, sure, but I know Let’s Encrypt is more trouble than it’s worth for this site.
If you’re that worried about it, disable Javascript and never use your account again so you can’t get hijacked. We’re lucky the thing’s still running after all these years, I’m not about to touch it.

I have unlimited hosting bandwidth/space, so I would be prepared to host anything if you want contingency… Or maybe it’s time for a refreshed Starport? I mean you don’t just cover Freelancer anymore, maybe time to incorporate star citizen and FL into a new site?
-
Before making decisions about StarCitizen support the question would be if it ever gets released.
vaporware -
Bear in mind that the connection between Cloudflare and the server is not HTTPS, so this is only partially secure, but it’s probably the best we’ll get.

This has broken preview (at least on Firefox 55):
Cross-Origin Request Blocked: The Same Origin Policy disallows reading the remote resource at http://the-starport.net/include/formdhtmltextarea_preview.php?text=This has broken preview (at least on Firefox 55)… (Reason: CORS header ‘Access-Control-Allow-Origin’ missing).

So I switched the site to HTTPS on cloudflare… not sure everything is working so please report any issues. For me the FL Community bar does not work, using firefox 52.5.0 with addons disabled.
The bar appears on the top but the menus does not work if I try to click on it.
My two cents

That would be great. We decided to leave it off our site because it was http only.
