I just heard from Madcat, and he said Qjake and a few other players that downloaded it got viruses from it… (not detected, INFECTED!)
It seems not many AV programs have the virus in their database, so some don;t detect it as a virus and let it reek havoc on the system.
I would suggest reuploading the files, because at this rate… it’s NOT good

M8 you seem to be the only one saying this. I just got a few PMs saying there’s nothing wrong with my models. Can you be more specific, what archive/model you reffering too !!! Cause this is really pissing me off

It’s called “false positives” and it happens all the time.
You know, when websites dedicated to finding viruses don’t find anything with the most up-to-date definitions… Either we have a supervirus hidden in dumb RAR archives and models (which, I shall remind, are not executable and would therefore have to be exceedingly crafty to run malicious code) or we have people with outdated definitions or already infected computers. Which do you think is the likeliest?

Vesko buddy there is nothing wrong with the files from here, Cursor and I have been downloading them for ages and never had a single problem with them….
Please dont continue about the virus thing, if there was then a lot of other people would have posted about it, but as far as I can see they havent.
Also with the fantastic work that Sol is doing, would you really expect him to actually not check to see if all was ok first…
I agree with FriendlyFire, you can get false positives, anyways love what Sol has done with the sleeper ship, looks awesome…

Absolutely 100% virus free here too & i have downloaded & extracted “every” SolCommand model released so far…
& my AV just loves a false positive & flags anything suspicious.
BTW… nice work on the sleeper Sol. i may grab her as a variant version as i’ve already begun the process of grouping/texturing the beast.

I noticed yesterday that the texture on my “Anna-V” Destroyer looks pixelated when viewed from close proximity so I’m working on a new texture now. Wile I’m at it I may actually release 2 versions of the texture, different colors and stuff you know and I will also fix a missing poligon that got deleted when I converted to OBJ.

SolCommand, I deeply apologize for all the trouble I caused you. Since Madcat told me he was getting reports from players that they got a virus, I posted it in the thread of the models… what a stupid thing to do. I should have PMed you.

I just finished remaking the Anna-V Destroyer.
Changes consist of :- removed the plate with the name of the ship
- removed some solar panels
- small texture changes
- rearranged UVs
ALSO, the destroyer now comes with 20 texture variations. The preview is way to big to post here so you can >> see it if you click this link <<.

On your sleeper ship v.2, i’m assuming the three blobs on the rear of the model are the engines. I was having a look at the texture on the central blob and it has almost like a ladder effect going across it and seems off centre. Is this intentional?
I’m assuming not as i’ve amended your texture so all three blobs now look the same. If you want i’ll send you the texture. I’m also assuming this needed ‘fixing’ in the first place lol

I knew of it from the beggining, just didn’t took the time to edit it for one simple reason, the blobs aka engines will never be seen anyway cause of the engine flares, light whatever it’s called. So you could’ve left it there

What you say is correct of course, for a moving object as you suggest, the flare effect would cover that. I was going to use a version of the ship as a derelict, hence no engine effect lol. Either way, an amended texture file is available on request

You are correct also … feel free to hand over the texture if u wish and I’ll update my models archive If you want a derelict ship you could use the destroyer as some of the textures really fit with that purpose

This one’s a trade lane built by the Junkers. It’s got a missile based defense system and it is powered by two energy generators: solar panels and a device that captures the residual heat and gas left by the engines of passing ships and converts this into energy.

You deserve all the help you can get guys, for the hard work you put in these mods. Will be back soon with a new model … just have to figure out which model should I do next from the list i have.
