There is not really a reason to provide it since he can do it anyways with Ioncross.

Thanks a lot, this site inspired me to seek more from my freelancer game, and I’ve tossed aside my days of playing vanilla singleplayer, and I got the discovery mod, FLMM, and got it running but when I try to get on the server it says that it cannot establish a connection to the server, and some other BS about it going offline and to try again. But it happens every single time I try to join, and on every server, anyone got any ideas?

You probably have a problem with MP Freelancer. It’s a rather common issue: try looking on the [[Getting online]] Wiki article for more insight.

Here I go, the Devils Advocate.
I don’t think Slyde//Sky is looking to hack the game just something give advancement to his already limited Nav Map. In that case, it’s simply for him to use Freelancers Companion. All this does is give him a better view and more information about the systems, bases, weapons, ships, and commodities, however, is does not list wreck locations and that would then be considered a cheat if it did.
Shoot me if I’m wrong but……if it’s only for SP then I reckon the others would be fair to use but otherwise, no.
Edit: name.

Have you done all the steps shown on the page? Look at your firewall, router, etc. If under Vista, run everything as administrator.
-
Vista?
If so then try to run FL with Service Pack 2.
-
antivirus?
Firewall?
Did you forward the ports in your router?
-
Possibly, yes. Antiviruses have a bad habit of still running and messing with stuff despite being offline.
As for forwarding your ports, do you have a router? If so, you need to connect to it (usually by typing http://192.168.1.1 or http://192.168.0.1 or http://192.168.101.1 in your browser) and look for a port forward option in there. You’ll need a password and username which either you’ve already changed or are set to the default - look in your router’s manual for that.

So you UNINSTALLED kaspersky? There might be some pieces left in your computer, you might want to check some folders used for the kaspersky programm.
Do you have installed Service Pack 2?
Run Freelancer both as admin and in compatibility mode XP.
