I’d say goodbye… But you leaving for a “field” I myself mod a fair bit, so i’ll just say “see ye 'round!”
P.S. The “scene” is pretty much dead… but don’t let that stop you, the game is a joy to mod once you get past all the Ukranian headers (lolz)

Thanks for all of the kind words, I enjoyed making all of the programs for FL that you now enjoy , too bad I didn’t have the time to rework the 20+ other utilities that I never released. I am willing to pass them on to those whom I know to finally convert them to public use, such as the ship scripter that builds every script for you to add a ship, a full 3D system builder, an automatic mbase.ini populator and on and on Also don’t forget the Ale Editor, FLEC etc plus if you do take the project on, send me the final version and I will put it up for permanent download on my site (you included Bullwinkle).
Well Ive been modding right at 30 years and I have to say this has been the best modding community I have ever been a part of. Other than the occasional trouble maker it really has been a joy to work with all of you!
Although it may seem the Stalker scene is dead, the game is only 3 years old and it had sold over 2 million copies as of late 2008, now if I could get a decent tanslation of the Russian tutorials (translator suggestions plz)…
Anyways, I still visit this site daily and may chime in from time to time on something that is driving you guys crazy. Xarian, your always welcome to help test our mods and new maps, I can’t seem to stop when Im building a new one. Stalker has a program for it similar to FLMM called the Smart Mod Manager, it seems to work great in most cases (just like FLMM does) so thats what we build them to support.
Thanks again, I’ll be around even if it’s just lurking about in the shadows.

I don’t see me leaving the site, Im just not going to be doing anything FL related anymore (weeeellll one last gift but that will be told soon enough). I’ve am pretty much burnt out and there are several here who have advanced FL quite a bit as of late so I believe the flame will be kept alive for some time to come.
As for GE, yes, it will continue development. That is one of the reasons Im modding Stalker. Its an FPS and I haven’t played any in a long time. Needed a refresher course on what is in them so I can include those features in my engine (which is a FPS & FL style game). I will also begin work on UT4 soon since we are running a server for it. Been tempted to get COD or Crysis to see what different features they offer.
Anyways, good luck and best wishes, please dont torture ST too much, hehehe thats my job
