Engines ALE - other forms

What, do you think those that reversed ALEs are omniscient, all-powerful beings? No, sorry to burst your bubble, but they just opened up the files and hacked at it until it did what they wanted. You can do the same, but oh god, that requires WORKIf i changing something except BasicApp_Color ALE stops to work - becomes invisible or something unexplainable.

You need to understand what you did wrong instead of giving up. You won’t go far with ALEs otherwise.

the ale editor does decode and encode the ales sometimes slightly wrong which can result in what you see. try to use the xml project. it writes in another format but as long as you aren’t used to the ale editor’s output its just fine, even better in some cases.

well, than its you doing something wrong. in general try to compare different effects of vanilla to figure out what stands for what. in the basicapp_color there you have arrays with 4 floats. the first one is time (in secs, if i’m not mistakin again), and then follows red, green, blue percentage values (ranging from 0.0 to 1.0). changing only this should result in a color exchange without any issues.

oh, sorry, didn’t get you correctly. now, that is clearly related with that some of the other changes you do wrong, what else. if you can post some code quotes, it would be simplier for us to help you finding out which exactly those are.All i need is a list of parameters which is possible to edit. All i found is BasicApp_Color. I dont have any sense what to do, i dont know what other numbers means.
Write changeable parameters to me here please…Блин, я по английски писать не умею, вот никто ничего и не понимает. Я могу только цвет менять, а где что-то другое не пойму. Напишите сюда список того что можно менять и в каких пределах
PLEASE HELP =(((((((((((((((((((((((((((((

EVERY block is editable. That good for you?

fortunately everything is editable but how, this is trial and error unfortunately
gents, just told him about the recent topic with the node_transform, and that trial’n’error will be his best friend so far. and suggested to quote his code for maybe someone would find a mistake or two.

There’s none. As Gisteron said and as I’ve repeated over and over, if you want to do ALEs, you need to be ready to work for it. You’ll have to figure it out yourself.
The biggest reference so far is in the Wiki: [[MDB:*.ale]].

Don’t kid yourself, this document is very, very partial.

My friend…
Some etiquette lessons…
Two times now, you have responded badly to someone who is trying to help you.
“CAN YOU READ?!” is an insult in English.
Try “Please read my post again” next time. Otherwise help will not come to you so easily.
And words written in capital letters are SHOUTING!
DON’T SHOUT at people unless you INTEND IT!!
Remember also that, like you, not everyone is a native English speaker, so maybe your words translated from your language into English do not translate the same for a Greek or a Spanish speaker sometimes.
And - you must first show that you are willing to do some work for yourself. If not then people will get tired of helping you for that reason too. We found many things ourselves, we had lots of failures, but kept trying and trying and trying until we found out some of the changes that worked.
So you should do the same. LAST WARNING from Grumpy Rabbit.
