Hi,

Just wanted to share this with you, after seeing this video here, i decided to Fix the existing defender model so that we can now have the proper extended wings animation. Anyway, you can view it by typing “anim wings” into adoxa’s sp console.

i did one myself some months ago. does your show LODs?

What i did is keep the original defender peices, for practically all parts but i replaced the wing parts of lod level 0 so the player can see the moving parts but when going outside this level the whole wing is shown, you could effectivly just change the lod levels so that only level 0 is shown or keep it like this and people a little furthur away will see only part of the wing hidden.

Did you cut the wing up so it fully collapses or just used the existing wing and moved that?

i cut the wings. the outsides collapse into the middle ones, the middle ones into the inside ones and the inside ones collapse into the ship so far that the weapon mounts still stay outside ofc.

Yep, so i think we have came to the same sort of animation, you know what they say, great minds think alike . I still invite anyone to try it out. I might try it out with some other models now that i’ve got everything downpacked.
