Help with this sur thing

alright, i read (or tried) to read that long post skotty made about that sur conversion tool and honestly I didn’t get a word of it.
that tutorial seems 100 times more complicated than anything ive had to do to make a sur… since the program i have looks like a early version of the one in his screen shots, since it doesnt have 10,000 check boxes, it has 3 and a “Go” button, which makes me smiley face
anyway, im yammering… im trying to make a hitbox for my new ship,
I was told its best to make a separate model for the Sur, so ive done that
after talking with bob I decided not to include the propellers in the hitbox at all.
from there I do what I normally do from Maya which is press triangulate on the mesh and invert the normals (did this for all 5 of my other ships that are happy ingame atm)
I save the file as OBJ, stick it in the OBJ to SUR converter, it gets part way the point where it says "Generating Tree (May take time for large models) and stops responding, dont really know what else to try
please help me, i am weary of this…

This may seem silly, but do you have the latest version of obj to sur?

Just a mention; I think Hidamari got it working.
obj converted fine for me first try, and when he tried again it worked too.
