Hehe, thx, actually I visit this site on an almost daily basis, just don’t post much since I don’t work on FL anymore. A lot of the stuff that is done in FL is possible in GE since it is a fully scripted engine like FL is. Some parts such as the HUD part are even more configurable than FL, which much of that is hard coded in FL.

sad to see the site go but i guess that is the way it is.
The Game Engine i use for my current project is a fully scripted engine as well. Although the scripting language in my engine is a proprietary language, but anyone familiar with C# or C/C++ should get the hang of it fast enough. It is nice to have that much control in script over the game as compared to FL.

Actually I would like to check your engine out, have any links for a download?

I use a Heavily modified Torque 3D 1.2 by garagegames (this is their newest engine) and it is excellent. does not take allot to get it working as a basic space sim engine.
right now i am working on adding the ability to have dockable star bases, a nav map, and a few other things.
here is a recent screenshot from ingame, using a test space environment.

@LancerSolurus - Yeah they do actually. As does using the ‘backspace’ key just as in Freelancer. they do actually have a slide animation on them too, but the animation is so fast you do not really see it, unless your looking closely for it.

Does look pretty nice. Hope you get it working like FL, there is a lot of areas to cover.
Update : Digital Brilliance is now gone. The GE site is in the process of being rebuilt from scratch using a completely new version of Nuke Xtreme. Other parts of the website will come back online during the next week as I upload the software for it such as the screenshots and wiki parts. Also all Digital Brilliance domains now redirect to the GE site (.com,.org,.net and .us). All download links in this forum to any of those site extensions will not work that I have posted in the past.

Sol Commands model downloads are back online. The GE site is as well with a completely different look and updated forum software.

I didn’t move it but I think Dropbox dropped support for the sharing method I had previously been using.
Should be accessible at https://www.dropbox.com/s/t7o7t6267za82ul/Digital Brilliance backup.tar.gz?dl=0 now hopefully -
Thanks
