Where can I DL this .exe update for FL error checker 1.012 by LancerSolurus?

Is it better to update the 1.012 or not?
Does anyone use 1.013a? Is it better to update?

It does require the 1.012 zip though, simply put it in that folder with the 1.012 exe

Your welcome, as far as changes, don’t really remember much of what I did. That was over 2 years ago since I last worked on it (Oct of '09). All I remember is fixing a few bugs and removing a few false positives.

Did you continue updating FL error checker or is the v1.013 is the latest and last version to date (right now)?
Is the tool being use by the modders until now or are there other better ones?
I know the FLScan v1.3, I also use it.
Do you think these 2 tools are enough to check the errors and fix all of it by yourself?
Do you recommend other tools or those 2 tools are the real deal?

FLEC was meant to compliment FLScan by checking stuff it didn’t, such as validating nicknames. I lost interest in working on it once I quit doing anything FL related. My own game engine has a lot of that functionality built directly into the file parser. Since it can’t use FL ini’s due to copyright reasons, unfortunately it can’t be used to check FL ini files. There was once a third error checker but it was real bad about showing errors where there weren’t any. A lot of the checks it did do good got added to FLEC anyways.
One thing I never got around to was making a high speed BINI reader. The code is in FLEC to read that type but it was way to slow to be used. Most modders now use some form of decrypted files such as QuickFix or Adoxa’s version (sorry forgot the name of it) so it was eventually a non-issue.
In answer to you other questions, AFAIK those are the 2 best tools. Adoxa did do a branch-off of 1.012 but don’t know if he hosts it anymore. Also there might be a FLScan II around somewhere, thought I saw someone post a link to the source repository just a few days ago.

By the way, your game Galaxy Empire is a great & cool game, where you can land your ship on a planet and explore with your character and also go to space with your spacecraft… that is the awesome stuff for a sci-fi game… I always wanted and dream of having those games where freedom, open world and do whatever you want- game like that. Can the game also explore or go inside the spaceship?
It is just like Star Wars Galaxies, Star Citizen, Entropia Universe, kickstarter games, etc. games like that. LOL

Well I have been planning on modelling ship interiors but have yet to get around to it. It is fully possible already just haven’t done it, looks like I need to get started before the ship list gets anywhere near what SSM had (FL mod, 356 ships). Making interiors takes a lot of time since you have to build various ship compartments and I’m still not the greatest modeller out there lol.
