Move Completed!

It is now official: The Starport has been moved. Going from our old shared hosting, we have evolved to a shiny new dedicated host, thanks to the generosity of our resident sugar daddy: Worfeh!

From our old home on the HostGator network in Dallas, Texas, USA, we have moved across the globe over to Amsterdam, Netherlands, on a nice backbone connection. This should speed up European users (and, to a certain extent, Asian) while just about being equally fast for American and Oceanian people.

The server, being dedicated, should be much faster, more secure and less prone to odd speed fluctuations. Service should now be 24/7, 100% stable.

With our new server, we end up with a pretty much unused carbon copy of The Starport on another server. Hence, we will be using this to make major upgrades to the website all while not disrupting the service. Basically, this means more goodies and less hassle!

We hope you enjoy the change and be sure to report any bug you may have. The domain may take a few hours to a day to propagate worldwide, so that may explain why activity is lower than usual.
