Re: Effects showroom!

Here’s a flash for a nuke from 40k away (it’s faster and a bit more realistic now but I haven’t touched fl for about two weeks or so, so no new video) and the explosion itself (without flash) at closer range. I did this some time ago and progress was posted on digitalbrilliance:

This is as simple as a new effect can get - but bigger, better things are in the works as well

@ BBalazs, that engine effect is really sweet on the eyes, sometimes simpler is better ;D

I know its no .ale effekt like the others but still was some work to get the lightmaps right.

Sadly i made no custom .ale effects so far but i will try some as soon as i get the station modules done.

I’ve only ever touched on weapon effects myself but this inspires me to give it a go too…

Indeed, excellent work there people. I suddenly feel insignificant when faced with the array of talent on show here.

Indeed, im realy amazed.
FL is faaaaar from dead if these effects and animations can be implemented.
Just hope it will be availeble to the general public at some point.
