Weapon Groups

FOR ALL PPL WHO HAVE ENGLISH VERSION OF FL
- credits to Falcon ^^
Weapon group is very useful thing during combat… For those who didnt get it, here is a small explanation of using weapon groups. You can bind exact count of weapons to an exact button (for example, I want to fire lancer missile/torpedo,counter-measure flare and drop mine by pressing one button at one time - very useful in dogfight) –-> this option is most used by all players.
First step of setting up the WG is to set a button which you want to fire the weapongroup(cm,missile/torp,mine)…(our case is weapongroup2) you can set it up here >>>
Second step is to set up an button which you “activate” your weapon group “ASSIGN WEAPONGROUP” …our case is weapongroup2… here >>>
After setting your controls turn off all of your gunz and equipment(cm,missile etc.) by clicking on them at the bar(down right of your screen). After that activate those you want to assign to weapongroup(we want cm,missile and mine) and then press activation key “ASSIGN WEAPONGROUP”. After all you deactivate those you set up for your weapon group and activate the others which are not in weapon group (our case all rest of gunz). You can now shoot your gunz by pressing fire weapon button… and shoot your cm,torpedo/missile by pressing a key which you set up for fire weapongroup… Thats it! good hunt…
I rather post this message as for n00bz but I hope U get it…this is most important…I confess it took some time for me to understand this feature ^^ gl hf

Nah it’s set up correctly,
Whenever you leave a station with weapon group one as something,
and you have other weapon groups, then other weapon groups take the place of weapon group one,
and you have to reset weapon group one. -
A few notes I’ve picked up on weapon groups:
The ACTIVATE WEAPONS GROUP keys switch your active weapons to those in the selected group. Weapon selections for groups are automatically saved, there is no need for the ASSIGN WEAPON GROUP keys, although they will let you copy the currently active weapon group.
The FIRE WEAPON GROUP keys behave exactly as stated and fire all the weapons in a group without needing to activate the group.
Weapon group 1 is the default weapon group, and is active every time you launch or log into Freelancer (not when jumping between systems though).
Whichever weapon group you have active when docking or logging off will be overwritten with weapon group 1. Therefore always dock or log off with weapon group 1 active.
