It is official: The Starport is launched!
Following the recent events and the multiple issues that happened in the Freelancer community, we, as a group of admins, developers and players, decided it was time to act. We wanted to have a hub where we could easily and freely group, discuss and help or get helped. This is why we have founded The Starport.
The Starport follows a mentality of “Listen to the community.” We aren’t here to impose what WE think; we’re here to make sure everything is set for the best of the Freelancer community. Times are rough and it is only united that we will be able to make it through.
We already have mutliple functionalities, the most basic of which being the forums. Feel free to go around and start socializing with us, we’re here to get things moving! The heart and soul of this community has to be you, visitors, guests and fellow players. We need your knowledge, your capabilities, your presence. We also have news and tutorials submission, for all those who have the talent and the know-how to make incredible things out of the Freelancer engine. We’ve also set a file repository for everyone who wants to share his tool, mod, documents and more. Whatever you want to share, we can host it. On top of that, remember that if you want to see something added, ask us! We’re sure there are many things left to add.
What you see here is the foundation of a new community. If you want to be part of this effort, we’ll welcome you happily. Remember that we’ve just started, too! We’ll be getting many more tools and utilities as time goes, and our team is already collecting every ounce of tutorials, tools and downloads they can get their hands on to populate the forums and downloads sections.
