Actually Tornado is the song of the album I just placed the title song of. (Imho at least. The title song is more ‘spacy’ but I wouldn’t keep you from hearing this song — working from the rambling hypothesis that someone actually cares to look at this thread

Despite of the rambling quality, this might actually be the best quality out there. Pink Floyd finally released on their Early Years box, and they did not have the original recordings, so they bought the rights to that BBC broadcast* and used its soundtrack.
*(The live broadcast covering the 1969 Moon Landing.)

This song was inspired by Arthur C.Clarke’s short story The Sentinel — a story that also partially inspired Stanley Kubrick’s movie 2001: A Space Odyssey (Clarke also wrote the novel of the same name, which was published shortly after the movie was released.)

Possibly the freakiest song I’ve posted here sofar. Chick Corea, while not a member of the Church of Scientology, is an admirer of L. Ron Hubbard, and thanks him in the liner notes of many (all?) of his albums.
