I wouldn’t be able to tell you exactly what’s wrong then. I know that Catalyst AI used to #$%% up by continuously selecting the smallest texture for no apparent reason, so it might be that.

If we can’t figure out this texture, I have a newer texture for the ship (from 4.85 discovery instead of 4.84)
However, with this comes a new problem (perhaps easier to solve?) when I load that into vanilla the ship does not show up at all. (copying the newer model over as well so I’d know if the model changed. It did not change. I read the patch notes)
I can buy it and fly it but the only things that show are the weapons, the shield module, and the lights. It’s like flying an invisible ship.

I also tried changing resolution, no change.
How exactly do I open a .mat file?

Opened with UTFEditor,
under texture library there are Partisan_UV.tga, partisan_equip, Partisan_grill, Partisan_metal,
all of these have “MIPS” under them.
Yeah I was hoping that was it too but nope, it still looks like garbage in-flight.
I actually got this exact ship working in SP in freelancer for the same reason I want to now and I know it certainly did not look so bad. I know I also took screenies of the campaign with this ship, which I am currently looking for. I cannot remember what I did if I encountered this issue, im hoping you can jog my memory lol.
Note my cut off UI, I don’t think that has anything to do with it considering the other ships look fine (I could never find a 100% working widescreen mod for single player, although discovery had built in magic for widescreen)
So, I copied and pasted some ships over from old vesrions of Discovery so that I can play through the SP campaign with them again.
2/3 work great.
Except this one.
It’s texture is extremely blurry.
The other two ships I copied from the mod work great and look great.

(I know how to fix the IDS? thing but it’s unnecessary considering this is for my sole personal singleplayer use)
So, have any ideas why that top ship’s texture would be so blurry yet the other two are perfect?

Oh, hey, instead of making another topic, The same ship has some small weapon slot differences to vanilla.
How do I change what weapon slot can mount what class of weapon? and how do I add more weapon slots?
Well, their mod uses id’s that are tied to tractors, but I added a vanilla tractor to the ship and it still did not work.
There really arent other tractors in my goods. They’re all ending in “01” Yes, other tractors do work, INCLUDING another “Ripped” ship from the same mod.
I didnt CTD. It let me undock. I killed a few npcs and pushed “b” and nothing happened… Thats how I found out.

Well, ive added another ship into my mod from another one (for SP use only, mind you) exactly as it was from the other mod.
I get in game and I cant tractor with it. HP_tractor blah blah is there in the shiparch, what could be the problem?
I did have a backup, but it wasnt the correct version, I found one on the internet. It works now, TY.

I have no /exe directory in my mod, but I have initial world and yes it is there.
Newplayer.fl in the game directories /exe is there too.

It works, thank you. One more thing. When I activate my mod and click new game, I start in a starflier out in the middle of nowhere, and it says im in Omicron Major. Also says “Dock with Toledo” as a mission objective. I know this is a simple fix but I dont remember how, its supposed to start up with FP7 being destroyed cutscene, you know.

Whats the name for a vanilla VHF scanner, tractor, powerplant and shield? I mean the goods entries. So I can replace each one of my ships entires with a vanilla counterpart.
Better yet, whats the titan’s or sabre’s or hammerhead’s good entry name? So I can basically use its scanner, engine, ect.
EDIT: Something interesting. I undocked from manhattan without going to the ship dealer. While outside I info queried manhattan. And I CTD’d. Hmm… Thats odd isnt it?
Alright, Now it works. I went into FLE and looked at the shiplist and right at the bottom of the list, there was a blank entry. Which is, of course, fine because I dont need infocards because this will not be a public mod, obviously as stated before. I clicked the blank one, added, ect.
Activated mymod and the freshstart so I could check the ship and see if it worked.
Clicked on ship dealer, CTD.
You said it could be the Goods.ini? Can I just like… remove the lights? they dont do much except look pretty.

Anyways, It gets to the splash screen then crashes. I already deleted all my SP saved game files and that didnt help.
My mods folder (mymod) only has the folder data in it, is a script.xml neccesary, could it be the problem?
