Thanks. Yes, i have an understanding, but I need editor cuz I have no sense of systems coordinates. I donāt like Level Planner cuz it cannot import map file into itself, so itās possible to create map only from nothing.
Oh, where can I dl Tibās or your editor to try? -

Found my old CD and installed a game again with modding kit and and wanna make a map for myself.
Having such trouble: game works perfect, but i cannot enter the editor. When I press Shift+F10 it starts loading, but when it finishes game shows error and closes.
Win 7 x64, c++ redistributable 2008 and 2010 installed, .net framework 4.5 too. What may cause such thing? -
This game is not for everyone. Thereāre too much criticism on the web, related to graphics and other. But this game put me back to X2 atmosphere and thatās impressive. X series is not about graphics challenge. For me, X is MUCH better than star citizens and everything other. Haters gonna hate. This game is not about all what these reviews say.

1. This is not about ini, but about coding. Do you know C / assembler? If no - ask their develoers for a plugin or forget.
2. Donāt know about animation, but about creating you need to convert your PNG to DDS (it must be square and 512x512, 1024x1024, 2048x2048, etc). Then take an existing starsphere and replace existing texture by UTF Editor, or create your own sphere in 3DSMax and make a CMP from it (with some further UTF modifications, you have to replace some nodes, ask if you will choose this).
3. Thereāre few files related to this, you have to change both. Donāt remember which ones exactly. -

VRay is a renderer for replace vanilla Scanline and MentalRay. Rendering with it with good setups will make your images much more photorealistic.
In smoothing I mean at least to use MSmooth button on sharp edges. -
Good, but I suggest to make chairs much smooth, and learn a VRay for good render result if you want to achieve it.

So, please, be kind and positive, ask him for adding a notes to readme, something else which will refer to your origins. He never said that your ships are his ones, and ever didnāt tried to sell them as his own, never had an intention to harm something or someone.
Yes, of course stupid copypasting cannot even become a good mod, and time shows this. But thatās not about copypasting, itās about people who make such trash and get a logical result.

Ok ok I can assume that I wrote too angry post. Something unique is great and such intentions might be justified. But anyway all of our projects here are non-commercial, and I sure all of you must help each other to be better. Thats why heās wrong. But yes, some discussions and permissions should exist. This is not a theft at all, this is just an impoliteness - must be said. I hope you two will find harmony in this problem and nobody will lose something.

I always used milkshape, just wanna to try this way, maybe it is faster and better, also it can automaticly make wireframes.
Ok, itās good idea to rename materials in Max itself and make in MS only the mat, iāll try, thanks a lot.
Models exported directly from Max through this stuff cannot be displayed in HardCMP, so I also will have to learn how to place hards in UTF Editor.

But one thing iād be glad to see in mod studio - writing to related files when adding a base, like freelancer explorer, thats only reason why i have to combine these tools.
For example, when i create a gate in explorer - it adds end-gate automaticly, when i create a base in system - it automaticly creates all other entries in related files. Thatād be an amazing addition. -

By the logic, you have to use HardCMP to be able to view CMPs (3d model files) (it is also a program to add/edit hardpoints), find your model [get a files], copy filename, use search in shiparch.ini for this string [get a shiparch section of ship], then get a ship nickname, then search for it in goods.ini for 2 entries left. Copypaste all of this to your mod and edit as you want. And last thing you need is to make ship selling somewhere, try using something like Freelancer Explorer for this purpose.
