FREELANCER - 21st ANNIVERSARY

Greetings Freelancers!

Another Year has passed and Freelancer will get 21 years. To celebrate this the TSP will organize a bigger 6-day event with different Mods and Projects as well as a true birthday celebration on the 04 of March. Some details still need to be clarified but we are going for another smaller but breathtaking anniversary event season like last year ;).

Stay tuned for upcoming updates and we hope to see you all when we once again celebrate our all-time favourite space game!

After the Holiday break, the 9th Season is ready to go! We're starting this year with a bingo event and discovering the secrets of Frontierspace, followed by New Universe with its server event. Stay tuned!

Frontierspace Multiplayer Server Now Live!

We're pleased to announce that there is now a live Multiplayer server online for the Freelancer Frontierspace mod! Click here to view the announcement trailer on Youtube.

What's Frontierspace?​

Frontierspace is a Freelancer mod that was in development for more than 3 years with the help and assets from many. It aims at bringing a greater level of difficulty to the player. With over 130 star systems, many new ships, factions, mission types, and weapons, the choices are endless, featuring secret bases protected by elite fighters and long range missions to destroy them, and more. Choose from a list of starter ships, locations and uniforms.

The original developers aren't around anymore, so stratobrick has been breathing new life into the mod and giving it the attention it deserves.

Join the Frontierspace Discord channel to get links to Freelancer, the original Frontierspace mod, and the updated versions of Frontierspace. Stratobrick has been further balancing weapons, fixing bugs and crashes, and pulling in other talent to implement quality of life adjustments like widescreen.

The Starport Has Moved!

Hi all,

We are pleased to announce that we have transferred the old forum database over to NodeBB and have moved to a different hosting provider.

The contents of the old forums have been moved over and will remain available for everyone indefinitely in an archived section of the new forum.

What's Changed?​

  • The old forum ran on XOOPS and hadn't received any updates since 2009, we've moved over to NodeBB which is up to date, actively maintained, and overall just less buggy.
  • Domain name has moved to the-starport.com from the-starport.net. We still retain ownership over the old domain, and have set up relevant redirects. If you notice any broken Starport links, please let us know!
  • The entire contents of the starport's download archive has been made available in one central location. Like before, this requires registration to use. It will act as an archive, and any new Starport affiliated content should be located within the Starport Github Organisation.
  • Any users who had never posted previously have been deleted. Unfortunately this means if you had never posted, you will need to make a new account.
  • The staff of the site have changed, you can see the new staff here and here.

What's there still to do?​

  • The old Starport forge needs to be hosted somewhere new. We are working on this currently. Any repos that were previously private will remain so.
  • The Lancersreactor archive is being transformed into a static website that will be easily searchable.
  • FLServer.de and the stats need work but will continue to be hosted where they are for now. Stay tuned for updates.
  • FLHook 4.1 development is continuing as planned, and the above tasks will not impede progress on it.

Greetings Freelancers! I'm happy to announce the 8th and last Regulancer Season for this year.

With the holidays falling on the usual Regulancer next month, the November Regulancer is the culmination of an eventful year full of community events.

But the 8th November Season is far from boring, with The Next Generation we have another classic mod for this weekend as well as an exciting Freelancer New Universe Showcase and Playtogether and last but not least, another Freelancer Bingo Season

Greetings Freelancers! The 4th Regulancer season has just ended and the 5th season is already in the starting blocks.

For August we have something special for you again!

Starting with the showcase of the so-called "Leuchtfeuer" mod created by Cpt. Rei Fukai followed by another showcase and play together event of "Homelancer" created by Volken. the finale of this Season will be a showcase of the upcoming and bigger Freelancer Discovery update.
