Thanks to everyone for the help, but I"m afraid nothing worked. Then I tried loading a server with my network cable unplugged from the router, plugged it back in, and now everyone can see it and access it… Is that retarded or what?? Anyway, the problem is obviously my belkin and I will fix that as soon as I get paid again… thanks again everyone!!

i imagine this as a 4 step process:

1. create a CMP and SUR for your “planet” and texture it
2. add a microscopic dummy world inside the skin of the planet (like a 1 size, undiscoverable, no name planet) and make the docking ring go to that.
3. Move the docking ring to the proper position so it looks like your mirage planet is real.
4. Here’s the tricky part: You need a way to deny all access after the destruction of the shell. So, you’d need this to be part of a scripted sequence so you can make the docking ring “locked”

I imagine its easy in single player, but multiplayer might be harder.

I copied all files from my freelancer backup installation, fixed the issue.

It’s Lancer Solarus that will have it, try looking through the downloads on his website over at Digital Brilliance :). He made one for Biocross a while ago, I still haven’t had my forge account cleared here yet so can’t upload the new version and updates to everyone :(.

Hehe… that was my 1st step chips… changing the SATA port was the second (as my PC uses some funky raid setup via bios)… i went deep… realy deep into everything… so much so i ended up screwing up my boot sequence somehow (bad fix… hmm) and had to reload my OS…

I too will NEVER by anything from Lite-on agian… or Acer for that matter… they put this POS in my PC… i wonder if they ever actually tested it… judging by the serious lack of customer support and drivers for both PC and DVD drive… i doubt it

I do well over my lan, bit slow and i need to go find .exe cracks for everything (that uses a dvd) but i don’t play much besides FL & Fallout3… so im sweet… would be nice to watch the odd movie of this PC though…

delete the ones you copied, launch freelancer and search for the file restart.fl

The new hardware update, as it says, should work with pretty much everything. All I can think of, is you have a different vendor id. Can you go to Device Manager -> Display adapters -> <your card=“”>-> Details. You should now be on Device Instance Id, which should show you something like PCI\VEN__XXXX_&…. XXXX is four hexadecimal digits, which should be 1002 for ATI. If it is, it should be working; if not, that’s why not - add it to the list.</your>

I’d second an alternate method of (quick) docking… more so for the undocking… maybe you could alter the moors plug-in Adoxa?

I like the dock sequence though… gives ye time to breath and watch your ship for a few seconds… but its annoying when your testing things and waiting for it to finish 🔨

Aha… some files on my Faw serv are encrypted.

Seems to be cycle somewhere with decrypting process…

Thx! Actually I’ve just entered 1280, 960 into PerfOptions.ini and it seemed to work fine (I had to, coz the resolution was really annoying in other progs and I’m too lazy to keep switching)*. But I only looked for 2 sec or so, so I might very well need your suggestions in due time!

*(Btw, wasn’t it common for games to auto-adjust screen resolution, and chanching it back on closing the game?)

does the vertical option bring icons futher into the middle or shifts them all up or down, and also what about the no text showing in chat box

I haven’t checked this for accuracy either but i will say this apart from well done, there are other much quicker ways to add ships. As to the icon comment, use milkshape, takes about 30 seconds to make one with that.
