it’s still not working for me because the gls_workaround.txt file doesn’t update unless I copy the info in manually.
The next time I restart FL the list is blank again.
Been going on for a while now. The only server that shows up is my server on the LAN.

Oh yeah, right… there’s nothing there.

And yes, port 2300 is open, after all that’s what’s used to connect to the server. Both TCP and UDP are open in both directions.

Thank you for responding, in the meantime I found a way to fix my little problem.

In fact, the Freelancer version I found on an abandonware site (since my original CD version didn’t want to work at all on win 10) had a built-in FLMM, version 2.0. I tried to reinstall an older version I still had in my archive file on my computer (version 1.3) and copy-pasted the mods in the corresponding folder of the old version… and the Just For Fun mod 3.0 worked like a charm, like all the other mods.

Anyway, thanks again for responding to this post, feel free to delete or close it since the problem is solved 🙂

I recommend to just alter your cargo system to not exceed this number. Either generally lowering your cargo space on ships below it, or increasing the volume of commodities to make it impossible to exceed the value. Not everything that can be potentially done by hacks should be done by it. Save others some troubles by rethinking your problematic design decisions first if it is a valid option.

Update:

I’ve been able to get ‘Fire Weapons’ mapped to LMB using a handy tool called X-Mouse Button Control.

I’ve also managed to get Mouse Move working on RMB with one hitch. Whenever I fire using LMB (which should just be sending a keystroke bound to ‘Fire Weapons’ ) the game detects the keystroke AS WELL AS a LMB press, which will then disable my Mouse Movement and I have to press RMB again to re-engage it.

So my workaround is to just stay in mouse flight mode I guess. At least I can fire with LMB.

You did not attach the save. I would have thought increasing MissionNum would have done it ([c]Mission = Mission_05[/c] & [c]MissionNum = 15[/c]).

I’m pleased to confirm that the server is back online. Thank you sincerely for your help.

I used the TCP Optimizer program to determine the exact MTU that’s appropriate for my connection, and set it accordingly. The server was indeed restarted each time I set a new value.

At first, there was no change, even when trying other MTU’s, but the errors no longer occurred the day after.

While I’m not 100% sure what finally fixed the issue, the new MTU value is mostly likely to credit. I wouldn’t have thought to check this on my own.

The server’s presence now reflects on flserver.de once more.
