I know but I prefer to have a leeway. I have no SSD. I would like to put some money into new hardware but I prefer to keep my money until I later get a job, if I have no sure income, I prefer to spend as tiniest as possible money. I recently bought a new monitor, HDD and some Berserk manga and I think it’s sufficient. I will surely spend more money on Berserk and audio CDs.

Yeah, if you use a unique_ptr the memory will be released and the destructors called as soon as the pointer gets out of scope. This will be the case even if there’s an exception somewhere, whereas an explicit delete call might be skipped due to an exception.

if that is supposed to be such an interesting discussion, than how about making us know what this is all about and what it is good for and specifically how this is better than or in fact prefereable to what is used here already (afaik, Yii is a PHP framework or something). also, even if it is, don’t you think that our administration would know after all these years and either has chosen it already or didn’t do so for a fairly good reason?
i’m not saying i know anything about it. yet Thaddeus certainly would not have moved this to spam if he wasn’t convinced well enough that it is.
