Major Loss
-
**Thanks guys, I appreciate it. Unfortunately in my case it was a 750 gig HD so I had no way to back up that amount of data. Still, I should have backed up my projects, they only consisted of about 50 megs worth of code and data.
A couple of good things did transpire, GE is safe and I have made another backup of it. Also, since I have copies all over the place of my mod, I still have it. Once the replacement drive comes in I can hopefully swap out the pcb on it and see if I can retrieve all of the files. It was the motor driver IC that failed, not the data in the hd (I really hope so). Luckily Seagate has a 5 year warranty on their drive and they said they are sending me the exact same model to replace it. So let’s keep our fingers and toes crossed, maybe it isn’t as bad as it seems.**

Let’s hope and pray it’s only a motor issue then…

Sorry to hear that Lancer
Hope there is a way maybe that somebody can safe the stuff, so all your hard work isn’t lost.
Thanks anyway for all the good tools and hard work you make/did for the FL communityTake care

Thanks guys, I lost quite a bit. Maybe one day I may do more FL programs. At this time I am concentrating on my game engine and making tools for it.
