Just a Quick Note to server owners / admins / forum admins
Recently i have visited / registered to various different forums in the hope of playing on the server that was advertised.
most sites i have visited have been a nightmare to try and find the mod to play there so just a little information for those that are trying to get players to there servers / forums.
MAKE A SECTION DEDICATED TO THE MOD YOUR RUNNING WITH LINKS TO FLMM ALSO
Otherwise players will move to other servers with much easy to navigate sites.
This is not directed in any way or form at anyone/site just a bit information from a player who travels around under different alias names as we all do ::)

This private affair of everyone, some want that the player was registered at a forum and esteemed rules before at once to climb in game and to create disgraces, out of rules and out of roleplay.

I think he has a point. When I started on discovery it to me a long time to find the installation tutorials on our forum. I already knew a little bit about FLMM and mods and I was running XP so I was starting with some knowledge. The difficultly was just navigating the forum to find the information.
For new players who are running Vista and don’t know anything about FLMM and mods it must be really hard, nearly impossible.
Finding help for the common problems is also really hard. For a long time now I’ve been meaning to make a post with all of the installation problems and the solutions that I’ve found for them (70% are solved with ‘Run As Administrator’)

Am sorry to post again here i normaly sit back read and debate amongst others but the above post has completely missed the point of the thread.
This is about to direct visitors to freelancer forums/sites that advertise mods to play to make it more easy for players that visit there sites to DOWNLOAD there MODS to play.
Regarding the rules of the forums/sites YES i always read them and i do comply with there server rules when i am able to get on there servers  ??? please read the thread first before posting disgrace out of roleplay its about the direction to a said server/forum mod.

I think Helloween was just making a point that streamlining it too much would make some people completely skip reading the rules and regulations. No need to get aggressive (or what seems like it) about that.
I agree that it’s often hard to find the mod download, whether on a community site like TSP or on each server’s site. Forums often are a part of the problem, since they don’t have a flexible layout allowing to put large, visible instructions or links at the top.

My apoligies to Helloween i do not mean to be offensive in any way or manner.
After further investigation by following the community network bar at the top of the page all the big communitys have direct links to there mods for players on show.
This thread was supposed to be directed to new mods that have advertised here for players to join them if players cannot find there mods then players will simply move onto another server.Without support and help in directing new players on there forums to a set up page with there mod and rules as Helloween pointed out players will lose intrest and move along.

Thank you for your understanding

…I simply answered this paragraph.
P.S. If that, i have link been for a long time on my site to direct mod downloading, and i have on it recently appeared big PLAY button to the instructions for installing the mod -
A “Useful Links” section at the top of the forum is your friend. If your forum doesn’t support creating a links section directly, just create a new forum category at the top with “subforums” that actually just link to various topics of interest - that’s what I did with the Flak Forums, as that’s just running a simple PhpBB forum, and it’s worked out great.
Edit: Yeah, a link to FLMM in your mod download section never hurt either. That way someone can just be pointed to that topic and everything they need will be right there.
