Universe of Wars

Ch. 1
“OK here is the plan of attack, we believe that the Bretonia and the Kusari might team up, meaning that we will be halfed by Colony Means. Adding the enemies of them to our cause, you will help us. We will pay you to help us in the war, then we will secure a system for you, there is hundreds of systems still undiscovered, we will allow you to keep one,” Corleone announced mainly to the pirates in the room. I listened, why Tony would want to recruit pirates onto our cause is unknown to me. But still, they have some good ships. Then a pirate stood up.
“Will Liberty stay out of our affairs in the future?”
“It depends if it involves Liberty, if it doesn’t, then we will leave you alone,” Tony replied peacefully. The man sat down, “Any more questions?” No one raised their hands or stood up. “OK, you are dismissed.”

Ch. 2
I ran toward the hanger on Planet Manhattan, then, a glint of metal caught my eye, a man in Bretonian Military clothes ran toward me, with a laser rifle, loaded by the look of the shaft. The man was in front of me, with the rifle aimed at my head.
“Don’t move,” the man said coldly. I stood there, staring at the man, slowly moving my hand toward my gun. I had my hand on my pocket, yet the man didn’t notice, he must be new to this, I thought. I then pulled out my pistol and aimed it at his groin,
“You don’t want to do that,” I said back. His face showed fear, but then turned into a smirk. I then felt and saw a bag go over my head, then my hands and feet were tied together.
“Your not going anywhere, General Gurrieo,” the man with the bag said. I struggled, but I couldn’t squeeze myself from the rope around my torso. I should of known this would happen I thought. They threw me into the cargo hold of a freighter and began to take off. What the hell, where are they taking me? Then one of the men came into the back. He ripped the bag off my head, I scanned the room, it was the cargo hold.
“What the hell you want?” I asked him.
“We want you, Gurrieo,” he answered. I tilted my head.
“You want me?” I asked, obviously confused.
“The Queen herself told us to kidnap you and take you to her, we are a elite force called Bretonian Spy Force or BSF. The Queen said that you would be a hazard to Bretonia if you were on Liberty’s side, so we have to kidnap you,” the man explained. Man this guy is an idiot, maybe because he is new to this BSF.
“So where you taking me?” I asked then.
“Leeds,” the man said. Leeds, I thought; Why the hell we going there?

I awoke, still inside the freighter. I thought. I picked myself up, then fell down. What the? Then I stared at my back, I was still handcuffed. I realized the kidnappers don’t trust me. I used me feet to slowly stand myself up. I walked out of the cargo hold and into the coc-pit. The men turned and stared at me.
“I see your up,” the older man said calmly. I nodded casually. Then took a seat behind them.
“We in Leeds yet?” I asked the duo.
“We have just entered Bretonian Space. We have a few hours before we reach the Leeds Jump Gate,” the younger man said. He turned around and started to pilot the freighter again. I looked out of the view screen, we were in the Manchester System by the look of the nebula around us.
“Can you take these cuffs off? There starting to cut off my blood circulation,” I commented. The older man turned and unlocked the cuffs, and they fell to the floor with a clunk. I then began to relax in the seat. I realized that they did trust me.
“We’re sorry we had to take you this way, we aren’t used to kidnapping people. We are simple police, Bretonian Federal Police aren’t used to it, it isn’t in our training,” the younger man said as he flew into a Trade Lane. I then fell asleep, the sound of the Trade Lane, ringing in my ears.

Ch. 4
I woke at 7:00 P.M., still in the seat in the coc-pit. I stared out the view screen, we were in the Leeds System. By the looks of it, we were going through the Trade Lane from the New London Jump Gate to Planet Leeds. Leeds’s polluted metropolis atmosphere became visible, the bright streets on the planet shown into space.
We then came out of the Trade Lane, the speed of the freighter drastically cut. A Bretonian Fighter came up.
“This is Captain Long, identify yourself,” the man from the fighter voice boomed out of the comm.

Ch. 5
The freighter landed on the metropolis surface of Leeds, they placed me back in handcuffs and escorted me out. Then a sight almost never seen, waiting for us outside the freighter was the Queen of Bretonia and her personal guards, the BSF men bowed in honor.
“Your highness, here is General Gurrieo,” the older man said politely. She stared at me, as if to sense what I am thinking. As if she can. I thought.
“Welcome, General,” she said, her voice pleasant.
“Hello, your highness,” I played along. She turned to one of her guards.
“Take Gurrieo to my ship,” I overheard. I then understood, this was a rendezvous, she was going to take me to New London. The BSF and the guards took me to a elegant cruiser, obviously we weren’t going all the way to New London in it, there was probably a battleship in orbit. I wonder where they’re going to take me when we get to New London. I thought for a moment. They took me inside, placing me in a chair on the cruiser’s bridge. I stared out the view screen, watching the Queen stride toward the cruiser. What am I going to do? I then felt a presence in the bridge. I turned to see a man in dark brown suit.
“Who are you?” the man asks.
“General Gurrieo,” I said, his eyes brightened.
“Ah, Mr. Gurrieo, nice to see you, hope those BSF agents didn’t hurt you too much?” the man said friendlier.
“Who are you?” I asked him.
“Admiral Fullen, at your service,” he announced.
“I would shake hands, but I’m cuffed,” I say with a laugh.
“I see,” he said, he takes a seat in the Captain’s Chair. The Queen then enters the bridge, a guard comes to me and takes off the cuffs. She came up to me and shakes my hand.
“Nice to finally meet you, Gurrieo,” she said.
“Why did you guys take me?” I asked her.
“We can’t afford a army legend to go against us, can we?” She said, with a little humor.
“I guess not,” I said, “why have you gone against Liberty in the first place?”
“The president of Liberty hired assassins to kill me, they failed of course, but we tracked the bounty hunters’ hirer back to the Liberties, all the way up to the president, Kusari felt the same as us, that Liberty was a threat.”
“Who gave you that information?” I asked.
“We traced the bounty hunters’ data pad info, the bounties placed on them, they led to the president,” she said.
“So that’s why?” I asked.
“Yes, General, now, sit, we have a long ride to New London.”

Ch. 6
New London loomed ahead as the Battleship Marauder made it’s way through the main trade lane to New London. Things are going from bad to worse. I contacted Tony and told him my situation, he told me that they were losing the war. I told him about what the Queen of Bretonia told me.
“It’s the truth, Jose, the president did issue that order, but after the war began, not before it,” Tony said to me.
“It doesn’t make any sense, why would the Queen kidnap me?” I asked him.
“Your important, Jose, that’s why they took you, now, listen, you need to get off that ship and get here,” he said.
“OK,” I said and turned off the comm.

Ch. 7
I walked into the bridge again, the Queen turned. “Where were you?” she asked.
“I went to the bathroom,” I lied. She believed me, and turned around to watch the screen. I turned and walked out of the bridge, heading for a guard who had his back turned. I snuck up to him and hit him in the head, immobilizing him before he could scream. I took his pistol and snuck toward the escape pod level.
“What?” I heard a man say. “Where is he?” he said into the comm the man was holding. “Raise the alarm!” he yelled and ran in my direction, I hid in a shadow, against a wall, the man ran past. I walked into the escape pod bay, to be met by Admiral Fullen.
“That was a mistake, Gurrieo, I liked you, but now, time to die,” the Admiral said coldly, and hit me with the butt of a laser rifle. I fell down, unconscious.

Ch. 8
I awoke, the Queen sitting a chair in front of me, Admiral Fullen to her right, with the laser rifle.
“You shouldn’t have done that, Gurrieo,” she said coldly, “I could just kill you now, so I don’t have to worry about you,” she came close, “but I won’t”
I was puzzled, “You won’t?”
“No, General, I need you alive, as do your friends in the LSF,” she said as she stood up, the Admiral pointed his gun at me.
“Don’t even think about it, General,” he said coldly, “get up!” I did as I was told, “Now, follow the Queen, don’t make any funny moves, General, cause I can space you if you do,” I took his threat as real, so I followed the Queen, not making any sudden moves. We began to walk toward the docking bay, where the Queen’s Cruiser waited, to take them to New London’s surface.
We were almost to the cruiser when I turned and knocked out the Admiral, grabbing the rifle, I then hit the Queen, enough to knock her down, then ran for a Crusader. I entered and hit ignition, I turned toward the docking bay door, they sealed it tightly. Great. I thought, I searched the control panels, and found the launch missile button, I pressed it, puncturing a hole in the door large enough for a Rhineland Cruiser to fly through, I blasted out of there, and headed for a trade lane.
Whew… I thought as I began my travel through the trade lane toward the Manchester Jump gate. I grabbed my comm.
“Tony, I’ve escaped, I’m coming, bring the Osiris to pick me up at the New London Jump gate in the Manchester system,” I said through it, Tony’s voice came back instantly.
“Gotcha, General, the Osiris is in the Magellan system, it’ll be there in a couple of minutes, they’ll contact you when they reach the Jump gate, stay hidden away from the Jump gate so that no local police catches you.”
“OK, going through the Jump gate now, talk to you later,” I said as I entered the Jump gate sequence. The ship went through the stabilized wormhole and sped up, covering a few light years in seconds. When I came out, I activated the cloaking device, and waited near the Jump gate.

Ch. 9
The Osiris deactivated her cloaking device, launching her fighters into the void, attacking the nearby star base and it’s fighters.
“Jose, dock immediately!” I heard Tony’s voice over the intercom.
“Affirmative,” I said back, I looked at the star base, which was being bombed by a few Defenders with torpedoes. I hit the thruster and rocketed toward the Osiris. I saw the hanger bay and landed. A door nearby opened, Tony and a few guards ran out toward me.
“Good to see you, Jose, now come, we need to talk.”
“Bretonia is ready for all out war, they’re building copies of Nomad Warships, this will punch a hole in our defense, and we might lose New York in the attack, we need you to help us, Jose, your kidnapping was a great sadness to us and the president. We need you this time,” Tony said. I nodded.
“True, we need to take them out before they take us out,” I said, he nodded back.
“Now, let’s talk about a plan.”
-
Ch. 10
“Things have changed since your kidnapping, Jose, Bretonia and Kusari are attacking Rhineland and Liberty targets point-blank. They come out of nowhere, attacking from the shadows, just like pirates, but more clever. We need your help, we believe that the Liberty Rouges are in league with the Bretonia/Kusari Alliance. We need you to take a squad of battleships and Sabres into the Liberty Rouges’s Base here,” he pointed at a nebula I don’t recognize, “and attack it, send a strike force onto the base here,” he points at a hanger bay on the southern side of the asteroid, “Once inside, we need to capture the Queen, which we believe is meeting up with the Liberty Rouge’s leader today, then blow the station up,” Tony finished. I nodded and said.
“We need to attack immediately, or the Queen will get away.”
“Absolutely, so, everyone, get ready!” he yelled, we ran out of the briefing room and headed for the Hanger.
