Forum Bug Report

There. I’ve long given up hope of people actually taking advantage of the video feature, so I might as well give in and make it not play anymore.
I hope you are satisfied, even though I wonder what the point of it is now.
-
Well… I thought it was a good idea FF and had no probs with it… tes the Autoplay was/is a slight problem… but the vid feature is groovy please don’t take it down.
-
Right. Tell me: how many people do you seriously believe will actually click on “Play” when there’s no video rolling?
-
Well maybe you could just disable the error message popup, it has to be somewhere in the js code, I like the autoplaying, and we from FFS will soon publish our video here(when the new mod is ready)
It was just something I noticed a few times, if you can’t sole it, no problem, if you can, it would be nice. Thanks for your work here FF

-
I’ve also removed the error popup; instead the error code will replace the video controls should one pop up. Much less intrusive and I’m surprised I didn’t do it already to be honest
@w0dk4: Well then, what do you propose? You can’t make a video play while not taking any bandwidth and not making the video play defeats the purpose of having that on the front page in the first place…
-
Well that’s as good as it’ll get. I’ve made some smaller buttons to leave more space for an autoplay feature. You can then select whether you want to have the videos play automatically or not.
By default, they play.

A other thingy: I somehwere have stored a nice navmap at my HDD (flash), would you integrate it into T SP if I pass it to you? (Just create a page right above “Wiki” or so)
Are you also interested in weapon tables? (Class…damage…type…) I might could create something then. -
Weapons are fine, but unless you know the person who did the map and have full permission to include it elsewhere, I can’t add that.
-
Well…it was aviable at www.station-network.de for YEARS, it even was there in 06 when I got Internet. However, the owner of station-network (who isn’t the creator of the flash map) granted DFLS the permission as well as for me for my clan site.I already tried to find the original autor but it seems to be an impossible act. Dunno, if a permission of the station network owner is enough for you, it is your decision.
(I can ask him if you are fine it) -
Your opinion FF?
-
I’m unsure. We’ve had criticism for using files that some consider were not up for grabs before, and I wish not to repeat this again.
I think it may be best left where it is.
-
Yep ok…just wanted to know before I put too much effort into it.
(or does anyone of you know a guy named Davidoch?) -
Other thing since it is much handwork to write tables in HTML: Any reason why I won’t be able to create tables in Open office calc (excel) and export them as HTML file, then use search & replace after I copied the table code into Notepad and then it would (nearly) work in websites? Would spare me much work and nerves…(I just tend to forget very often to close a tr or td tag…:( )
-
Office applications aren’t made to write HTML?
If you want to do that, I’d suggest trying a WYSIWYG HTML editor like Dreamweaver. They don’t produce the best code, but it’s less of a mess than most office apps.
-
Just as my personal opinion, I dislike the hover thing in the wikipedia. Any chance that you remove the hover-thing and make it permanent?
-
And again that bug when edited post disappears.
post id is (was) 21827, in this topic, if this helps.

Hmmm… Thanks for the feedback Cannon, I’ll try to look at the code this weekend.
