/v/lancer: A mod for bros by bros

As I said, it can be very irritating. That said, you have a point; since nobody cares about 4Chan, it probably would not have mattered.
Oh please, don’t get into an insulting 4chan contest.
Because 4chan always wins, nobody hates us more than us.Ahaha, people are always saying “why the #$%% do I keep coming to this site?”.

Also, bit of a low blow going around 1-starring the /v/lancer videos, I don’t get the bros to go around denouncing your videos.
And let me tell you, besides the 88Flak and Itano Circus videos…
Ugh… -
Garbage?
Bro, 4chan is such garbage that it’s been decomposed, recycled, and thrown away so many times it is now solely responsible for the entire ecosystem. -
Once you upload a file on the internet it is bound for someone to download your file and use it as he likes, credits or no credits. It’s not like in real life where you can beat the crap out of the guy who stole your car, here’s virtual reality, you can’t beat the guy/kid who stole your spaceship and there isn’t much you can do about it …… unless you’re Microsoft, which changes things, but you’re not. My point is, once you release a mod, consider it’s code public, gone, sayonara. That’s why everytime I upload one of my models I expect to see an “original” ship made by someone else, that looks exactly like my ship, on the internet in a couple of days if not less. Not saying it’s right to “steal” but once it’s been done, it’s done, nothing’s gonna change, no matter how many pages this topic has. In the end, if you know that certain piece of art is yours, and the ppl who matter know also … that’s all you need.
Now stop arguing and start kissing, it’s #$%% Christmas in a few days. -
Why are we actually still discussing about it?
Throw these thiefs outta here. Every other FL site and modding community will do the same. Their steam channel can also get closed if neccessary as valve has pretty clear rules regarding copyrights. Then these jerks can sit on their empty server and stare at their stolen “work”.There is not a single FL site that condones theft. And obviously these ppl have not come here to contribute anything.
@solcommand - i-net might be open but it also has to follow laws. The last two which decided to steal from my mod had to close their server. -
Well, they havent released anything yet. They now know how we think about it, and thats about it. If their mod with stolen work stays in a closed group, there is nothing to be done anyway.
On another note, SolCommand has a point. Its naive to think that you can prevent people from ripping your mod apart and repackaging it. If its made public, then you can go after them, but in a lot of cases, these hacked-together mods are often made for small groups of players who want to have fun. This is appareantly such a case, and it doesnt help to get worked up about it so much as in to “call the police”.

If they run it private… ok … fine.
But they are here to announce it. And their steam channel also is not a private area. They directly violate valve copyright rules already.
But like i said… if they run it private and nobody in the FL community ever gets to see or download it… fine. -
Pfft… losers.

Nothing’s going to change no matter how pissed off anyone is.
I think I’ve been rather understanding here, but now it’s time to say goodbye and farewell.
Locky!
