Yeah, I was told search got borked somehow. I just need to find time to look at it properly, but that won’t happen before the 18th of December I’m afraid.

Now I don’t feel so alone on this, as many weeks in the past asking about odds and ends here.
I was told to use the Search but, it never worked for me. I quit trying.
Just like not having a Members list.

Hunting for something about Vista on here
In the Google search box type the following…site:the-starport.net vista
Simple as that, search did work for me here at one time but it doesn’t now. Using Google it doesn’t matter.**

Well, just completely fixed this!
Not only is forum search working again, but the search box on the left searches the forums as well by default.Pretty frustrating seeing this was only a 2-byte change, after digging through Xoops code for an hour.

Something seems off, though, and I’m not sure if the fix for the search caused it or not: when I click on a topic in the latest post section up in the upper right, it takes me to the first post of the thread, not the first unread post. Ah well, forum searching is more important than this inconvenience.
