Animooted Custom Turret

I’ve seen a few of em in different FL mods, but i’ve never found a specific tutorial on how to make it work. Anyone care to shed some light on the topic?
And what i mean by animated is that the barrel traverses independantly of the base, like a proper turret.

Hey I might be able to help you with this one, Are you talking about the barrel move up and down and the base goes side to side??
If thats what you are talking about them as you make the model, you put the ceterpoint of hte turret in the location you want the barrel to pivoit up and down. Export it as root, and barrel and if you have done everything correctly you will have a turret that not only moves side to side, But one that will move up and down. I think thats how I got a rocket launcher of mine to work. I have to go and look once more and make sure once I find my files.

you just model your thingy and then rename the first group of your base to Root and the first group of your barrels to barrel. exporting the cmp you chose a number of groups = 2 and in the two values you put in first the number of the base groups (if theyre listed first in milkshape) and second the barrel groups number (if theyre listed secondly ofc).
that’s it, your turret will have animated barrels once you get it to work in FL. -
