Maybe put the button to the top? Under “View New Posts”

Its kinda buried atm, myself I never noticed it

Urmm…

I had lots of unread posts today but no other button appeared next to the RSS button.

And nothing at the bottom other than the notifications options.

Any clue?

I think better to use classic method to view new posts llike in popular forum engines - view new posts must show topic list with new posts:

Ummm… it already does

I’d like it if it had one of those on the portal page as well, it’s annoying having to go to [Forum] and then clicking [View New Posts].

Unread lists all threads with new posts in them.

It seems to me is not interesting to read “unread” and old
But “unread” and “active” much more interesting

Lastest posts - optimal variant at the moment for me.
Dunno how it for others.

Just mark all the posts as read and then from that point on you can use Unread posts
